Lilith — Restaurant in Rotterdam

I had high expectations when I visited Lilith, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Despite the restaurant being only half-full, service was extremely slow, and it took over 30 minutes for my meal to arrive. There were four staff members present: one waitress, a barista, and two kitchen staff, which seemed more than adequate for the number of customers present. However, it took over 3–4 minutes just to have my order taken, and drinks, though tasty, also arrived slower than expected.

When my food finally did arrive—a savory pancake topped with salad, chopped avocado, sesame seeds, spring onions, and two types of sauce—I was impressed by the flavors. The pancake was delicious, and the coffee was nice as well. But it’s worth noting that with the pancake being the only element that required cooking, the rest just needing assembly (including chopping the avocado), it shouldn’t have taken as long as it did.

One small but noticeable annoyance was the plate presentation. Served in a big, shallow, dark bowl with a textured surface, it made cutting the pancake awkward and scratching the bowl with my knife and fork was unpleasant. A small thing, but it added to the overall dissatisfaction with the experience.

In summary, while the food was good, the lengthy wait and inattentive service overshadowed it. Lilith has potential, but it needs to improve its service speed and attentiveness if it hopes to live up to expectations.

Best breakfast/brunch in the Netherlands! What an absolute gem of a spot, walking towards this venue I knew it would be good as the outdoor seating was packed! The cafe itself is beautiful with many plants and happy, smiling, friendly staff and in a lovely neighborhoody location, a short walk from the town centre. We ordered two lattes, one oat and caramel, one soya and they were perfect! They use awesome coffee here, I'm still thinking about it. The food was even more fantastic, I had blueberry pancakes and my partner had scrambled eggs/brioche. Which looked great but my pancakes stole the scene. So fresh and fluffy, and filling! There was a generous serving with fresh crushed and whole blueberries, soured cream and edible flower! Best pancakes I've had in a long long time. This place was honestly amazing and I'll be coming back to Rotterdam and coming back here for their French toast.. Or strawberry pancakes, the moment I get off the plane! So sad we have nothing as good in London. Lilith coffee is the perfect start to your day...

Very nice breakfast / brunch spot! The staff is very friendly, the coffee is extremely good and the food we tried was delicious. We had the pancakes and the eggs with avocado and spinach and they were really tasty. The prices are reasonable and they have a big terrace for when the weather is nice and warm. The only minus is that service for the drinks took quite long, half an hour to receive the coffee and water which arrived almost at the same time as the food. We noticed at that time there was only one person preparing the drinks and the place was quite full, so we don’t know if it s like this all the time. Also, when they brought the coffee they left the teaspoons and the cookies on the tray in the middle of the table, so we preferred the coffee came with a small plate to put the cookie and teaspoon on and some napkins. But overall good experience and would definitely return for a cappuccino and some pancakes on...
