The New Cafe — Restaurant in Rotterdam

I had a really unpleasant experience at this cafe yesterday. I went to the Het Nieuwe Institute and stumbled upon this cafe. I think servers of the cafe select a ‘customer’ that they want. I ordered “one orange juice”, and waited for almost 10 minutes. But they came to me and said that they don’t have it. It was weird. There was a lot of oranges beside squeezing machine and they were definitely preparing orange juices for other customers. Eventough I complained it, they made a lame excuse about the situation.(“it takes time... is it okay?”) Shame on the poor and rude service.

Actually, our family went back to the cafe after 10minutes and ordered again. Then, they gave us two cup of "orange juice" right away. It was just weird. when I was paying for the order, the server came to the kassa and told me "oh you had it". Are you kidding?

Hi! I went here today, i came in with a big smile and gave a big excited hi, one of the workers welcomed me and asked where i would like to have a sit, I said "upsi, don't wanna sit, here to pee, is it possible?", the worker proceeds to say it costs 1€ to go to the toilet, and I was shocked, 1€ to pee? Tradge. I proceeded to pay, because i REALLY needed toilet time.... I do my business, discharge what I had to discharge, leave the toilet, wash my hands and on my way out i said a still excited "byeee" while being looked in the eyes, and i recieved no "bye" back, I felt really disrespected, after paying 1€ to pee I don't recieve a "bye" back? Tradge, 1...

I went on 2de Pinksterdag. It was sunny and warm so the terrace was full of people sitting by the water. I ate inside, where it was less crowded. I had the vegan shawarma on a puta and some ginger tea and sparkling water totaling under 20 euro with a 20% tip.

The service was quick and friendly. The vibe is chill and the huge glass windows makes the space attractive.

This is the cafe for Het Nieuwe Instituut, the architecture museum next to The Depot in Rotterdam. The menu features plates priced between 8,50 and 15 euros. There are sweets and lunch food...
