Pathetic customer service. We wanted to dine on the outside table as I have a 1 year old baby and young children and did not want to disturb people sitting inside. The staff told all tables are reserved. I asked if it is possible to take one table out, staff did impossible. 5 minutes later, another family came they asked another waiter for a table outside. Alas, this time that writer carried a table and 4 chairs outside.

Since we did not get a seat, we thought of ordering Shawarma for a take out, but did not find shawarma in the menu. Then we thought of leaving. Before leaving I asked the waiter to refill my 1 year old baby’s bottle with tap water. Waiter told ‘no tap water if you are not ordering from here’.

I told I wanted to order shawarma but it is not in the menu. Waiter told ‘Shawarma is available it’s just not in the menu’. Is it possible???? Anyways I decided to order, waited for 20+ minutes for the order to come, when it came it was half then again wait for fries. Horrible wait.

And the Shawarma cost me 18.95€!!!!!!!!!! I asked why. She said it comes with rice and kuboos wrap. I said I am from UAE, I have never seen rice in Shawarma. Then she said sorry it’s fries no rice. Of course Shawarma comes with fries and kuboos wrap. That is how shawarma is. Now I waited long enough, children are thirsty for water decided to pay 18.95€ for an item not in their menu. Had it been there in their menu, I would have never...

Short story: The table was dirty, the service is completely inattentive, and the prices are outrageous. We will never go there again for sure and I would not recommend anybody to go there.

Long story: We had to wait 15 minutes until we got the table, despite having a reservation. Had to wait another 15 minutes until someone came to our table to take the order (and we had to ask for the table to be cleaned as it was dirty from the previous guests). Had to wait another 50 minutes - and asking several times - until we got the first part of the food, so by the time we got the starters, it was already 80 minutes from the time we had the booking. We asked for everything to be served at once as we were really hungry by that time, but still got the starters only. After waiting another 20 minutes after we got the starters - by that time, it was 9:40 pm already - and there was no indication when the rest of the food would come, we told the service person that we are tired of waiting and asked for the bill for what we had, which was not much: the starters only. The bill was a mind-blowing EUR 91 for starters for 2 persons (!) and one bottle of water which was completely ridiculous. We left hungry and very disappointed.

One star for the food we did not have, one star for the inattentive and in fact very unfriendly service, and one star for the dirty table....

Unfortunately, a disappointing first impression We’re currently visiting Europe and were excited to try some Lebanese food in the Netherlands. We booked a 6-course dinner for four people through the Social Deal app, and paid €104 online in advance. Everything looked clear and simple.

When we arrived at the restaurant, the staff were polite, and the food portions were generous. We decided to add a small extra—just a plate of tabbouleh and one of moutabal—and we also asked about coffee, which we were told was included in the deal.

But things changed when the bill came.

We were suddenly told that we had to pay an additional €58 inside the restaurant, including for bottled water that we never ordered. No one had explained this beforehand, and we were honestly surprised and confused.

As first-time visitors to the Netherlands, we were hoping for a warm and transparent experience. Instead, we left feeling uncomfortable and a bit taken advantage of.

In total, we paid €162, while expecting a €104 set menu. The food was good, but the unexpected charges and poor communication left a negative impression. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on being clearer and more honest with future guests—especially those who are new to...
