I recently had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant, and I will definitely not be returning. The main issue was the complete lack of price transparency – and after reading other reviews, I now realize this is not an isolated incident.
Major price differences – without any warning: The menu listed pasta dishes for just over €9. Based on this, I assumed the price range would be similar across all pasta options. I ordered lasagna and was shocked when I received a bill for over €17 – nearly double the expected amount. There was no mention of this price difference anywhere on the menu or by the staff. This lack of upfront communication felt deceptive and unprofessional.
Missing prices and language barriers: To make matters worse, the entire menu was written only in Dutch – without any translations or visual aids to help non-Dutch-speaking guests. Most frustratingly, there was no price listed at all for the lasagna, making it impossible to make an informed choice. As a tourist, I felt left completely in the dark and taken advantage of.
Poor communication and little understanding from staff: When I questioned the high price, I received a vague explanation like “Lasagna is a different dish.” But if that’s the case, why wasn’t the price clearly displayed or communicated beforehand? A simple heads-up from the staff would have gone a long way in avoiding this frustration.
Not an isolated case – many others report similar experiences: After this experience, I took the time to read other reviews – and unfortunately, I found many similar complaints. Several guests mention unclear pricing, missing menu information, and unexpectedly high bills. That’s why I strongly recommend reading through the reviews carefully before deciding to eat here. It could save you money – and a lot of disappointment. Conclusion:
My overall impression is very so so negative. As a paying customer, I expect honesty and transparency – especially when it comes to pricing. This restaurant failed in that regard. I cannot recommend it, and I will certainly not return.
Fairness and respect toward guests start with clear communication – and that was sorely lacking here.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at this establishment, which has led me to vow never to return. The main issue I encountered was the lack of price transparency.
Firstly, I noticed that the menu advertised pasta for just over nine euros. However, when I opted for lasagna, I was presented with a bill of over 17 euros. It was incredibly frustrating that the price difference was not clearly communicated. I truly wonder why all prices could not be displayed transparently.
Another issue was the language barrier. The prices were listed in Dutch, which was confusing enough for me as a non-native speaker. But what was even more aggravating was the absence of translations or clear indications in other languages. Particularly, the price for lasagna was not listed at all.
It's regrettable that this establishment has already garnered negative reviews due to similar issues. I wholeheartedly agree that prospective customers should read previous reviews before visiting to get a sense of the situation.
Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing due to the lack of price transparency. I cannot recommend this establishment and will certainly not...
Read moreIf you want tasteless, over-priced food, this is your go-to place. We had lunch here, and it was a disaster from start to finish.
My boyfriend ordered a pasta dish that was essentially just cooked pasta topped with pieces of ham, truffles, and grated cheese, all DRENCHED in oil. It resembled a pasta soup—just swap the liquid for oil. To add insult to injury, he also ordered a cannolo that never arrived.
I opted for the "special" panino by the chef. What a disappointment! It was an olive ciabatta with an absolutely tasteless omelette, a single piece of sundried tomato, and an artichoke heart from a jar. Even an amateur could whip up something better at home.
The best part? Together with two cups of coffee, we paid 36 euros. The math just doesn’t add up. According to the menu, the pasta was 9.50 euros, and the panino was no more than 7 euros. This place is a scam and a total rip-off.
