Decent pizzeria, but not for families
Good Neapolitan pizza - but awful service …tonight we reserved a table at 18.30 and yet our 7-years old had to wait almost one hour for her pizza and more than 20 other minutes for two scoops of ice-cream. All tables around us with children were complaining for the same reason. When we addressed the staff about it, we were replied that on a Friday night we should rather stay home….how professional, uh?
…..my family owned a traditional pizzeria on the Venetian riviera and I could make a long list of things that really don’t work here (like, tables-first and tables with children specially is a norm for most Italian pizzaioli….here there is only one pizzaiolo for both tables and take-away, and it all looks like a random mass). So….either you come here on non busy days, or you have a loooooot of patience and no hungry children along, or you just go to the several properly staffed pizzeria’s in town where you’ll be treated...

They confirmed and said they would have room in 30mins, so we came in at 19:15. We ordered one drink each, because we were hungry and expected the food to come sooner. The waiter was polite to come and check if we wanted another drink. However, the restaurant never informed us about having to wait for our pizzas this long.. Even, after 1.5 hours of waiting, when we asked about how much time they would need, the waitress did not come back to inform us. When we looked around us, we saw other tables getting their pizzas sooner than we had, even though they came in later than us.
Eventually we walked away to get dinner somewhere else. When I told them we would leave, they did offer us to give our drinks for free, which I sincerely...
Read moreI asked to make my pizza fast as I had to leave in 35 minutes. The waitress told us, that people usually come to the restaurant to first have a drink and then to eat. Hmmm… I thought that people mainly go to restaurants to eat. She also told us that people there get angry because of the waiting time and take away has priority. What??? In my opinion it should be the other way around! I would say if someone explicitly ask for a faster service then try to accommodate his request. Anyway they could not make a pizza in 35 minutes so I had to leave without even having a bite. My GF had pasta which was not very good. I just don’t understand what takes so much time if the Neapolitan pizza supposed to be only 90 seconds in the oven. If you get so much delivery then maybe you should not function as a restaurant but...
