Broodnodig Mariaplaats — Restaurant in Utrecht

A place owned by a Swedish family and offering nice set of Swedish dishes and deserts. I visited this place for breakfast and was gladly surprised. Normally, I do not expect anything special from a breakfast place in Utrecht as most such places offer generic dishes of average quality and soul-less coffee. This place was completely opposite, I tried a nice Swedish bun with cinamon and a toast with ham and cheese. Fresh and original. Moreover, the coffee was excellent. It's quality was far above the average Utrecht level. I would not agree with 4.2/5 rating, this place deserves much higher rating.

Broodnodig is a small lunchroom located on the edge of the center and within walking distance of the Dom-Tower. Unfortunately, the interior is not inviting and definitely needs a refresh.

Menu/Lunch is neat, but price quality is just right. It's in this sense, especially because of the somewhat boring setting, not to price your own out of the market.
