Wouldn’t come here if you’re are vegan! They had two vegan options on the menu, both containing vegan Gorgonzola. But they were out of it. As it was Saturday night and all restaurants were crowded, we decided to stay anyway. We asked if they could make the pizza worthwhile whiteout the cheese, using marinated olives and almonds they have for a starter. But what we got was 8 olives and 3 slivered almonds as a topping. This pizza was pathetically sad as were we, as we still had to pay 16 euro for this. The cooks clearly don’t have any love and creativity. Also, it’s 2023 and they still don’t have a vegan dessert. It’s not that difficult guys.
Edit 16 may: they do not offer the vouchers. They said they send it, it never arrived here. I contacted them about it and it would be send again. Another week, nothing. I asked again and the guy admitted they didn’t send it. So, my conclusion is they only say so in the comments to save their selves. This place used to be called Da Portare Via. It was great back then. Not anymore unfortunately. Bad customer service, and the pizza’s aren’t...
Read moreNice atmosphere, great pizza, good service. One star less only for the fact that we had a bit of broken plastic under the pizza of our 2year old which could easily have been swallowed. We noticed and informed the waitress who showed sincere apologies but the fact that it wasn't even mentioned again when we ordered the bill left me as a former chef a bit disappointed. Usually you try to show a bit of good will with an espresso or a slight discount on the bill and I didnt't want to ask for that either because I think it lacks style. Would have been the job of the staff to compensate as the dinner could have ended differently if we had not seen that piece. Those things can happen in a professional kitchen but at least show the customer some more regret.
Anyways, foodwise it was a great experience and I can strongly recommend.
P.S. The drinks on the special drinks menu were definitely worth a try and made the dinner...
Read moreI had the picante Gorgonzola pizza with salami as an extra. It was a very good thin crust pizza. My partner had a spinachi pizza with burrata as extra. Was very good as well. Montepulciano red wine went very good with it. Tiramisu was the best compared to the previous ones we tried in pizzabakkers. The only thing is we were asked (by the person who checks the reservations) to sit in the worst place even though the place was empty and there were 2 other 2 person spots available. They did change our place after we asked for it. Hope this won’t happen again because it is annoying. On the other hand during the service our waitress (the other waitress) was very friendly. In the overall it was a good experience. Definitely...
