The experience wasn't all bad. The hostess was kind to work us in with no reservation after a couple jumped in front of us who also did not have a reservation. I think we were forgotten after getting the water we ordered, then bread, then...waited...until my son flagged a waiter. The wait for food was very long, but understood as the small restaurant was filled. My son had a very nice ravioli with goat cheese starter. By the time our meals arrived, it was obvious the chicken curry dish had been sitting warming and had become mushy with no distict flavors other than the nicely caramelized onions, but unfortunately one cannot make a meal of such. For myself, the side French fries with mayo was the best of my 21.95 Euro main course. My son enjoyed his meal. I mentioned this to a waiter, who did offer another meal but the restaurant had become very warm and we'd already been there for more than two hours, waiting most of the time, and I just needed to leave. He went to ask if we could get our previously ordered desserts to go...odd that it wasn't a certainty. After a bit, another lady came and said she'd opened the front doors because of the heat. I told her also about the mushy curry satay dish. We finally had to track down someone to pay for our meals and leave and when for a third time I mentioned the enedible meal and said it would be nice if it were discounted since no one offered, I was told I should have mentioned it during the meal...well, I did, and it was also nearly impossible to flag someone down. So, quite disappointed with the poor service in this respect, particularly with the expense of the meals, and the fact a mushy dish was served in the first place. Update: just tried my "to go" tiramisu...sadly, it is disappointing, and good tiramisu is a particular...

Insgesamt ein stimmiges Lokal in grandiosem Ambiente im Stil der 20'er Jahre mit Überaus aufmerksmem Personal. Leider sind selbst gängigste Cocktails nicht bekannt und die Wein-Auswahl gleicht der einer Tanzschule für Heranwachsende. Zum "3-Gänge-Menü"... Hier fehlten bei der Vorspeise Feinschliff und Geschmack im Allgemeinen. Wakame mit Edamame und frittierten Lachsröllchen... Von einer Hochzeit Anfang des Jahres wusste ich, wie hervorragend man diesen Starter geschmacklich präsentieren kann. Hier fehlte es leider gänzlich an kulinarischer Intelligenz. So modern und überlegt die Anrichte, so enttäuschend leider der Geschmack. Hier fehlte es an Allem- keine Säure, keine Süße, von Salz oder gar Umami-Noten keine Spur. Lediglich unselektierte, teils überdörrte Algen an dafür immerhin herzhaft frischen Edamame-Böhnchen. Die Lachsröllchen waren halbgare, recht fischige "Lachsbomben" von rustikaler Konsistenz. Das Carpaccio meiner Frau glich einem TK-Produkt eines hiesigen Discounters mit schlecht abgeschmecktem Pesto und ließ jegliche Aromenvielfalt in Form von gutem Olivenöl, Zitrone, Salz, Pfeffer oder Ähnlichem leider missen. Die Hauptspeisen waren leider lediglich Durchschnitt im Niveau eines günstigen Balkan-Restaurants. Sowohl im Punkto Fleischqualität als auch bei der Auswahl der Beilagen. Hier gesellten sich zum ungleichmäßig übergarten, wenig bis gar nicht abgehangenem Rinds-Tournedo (7.50 € Auspreis auf das 3-Gänge Menü), Apfelmus zu kalten Convinience-Rösties an "Pfeffersauce" mit überlagerndem Fenchelaroma flankiert von Tiefkühlpommes und lieblos abgeschmecktem Kohlsalat. Beim "Mixed grill skewered steak, Black Angus burger, pork tenderloin, bacon and free-range chicken breast, mushrooms, sweet pepper, onion and aioli" meiner Frau, erwies sich der Black Angus Burger als ungewürzte, zähe Mini-Frikadelle. Das Schweinefilet hingegen war fast auf den Punkt gegart, wenn auch gänzlich ohne Würze. Der Bacon war......Bacon und die Hühnerbrust trocken wie ein low-budged-Rotwein aus dem Supermarkt um die Ecke. Pilze, Paprika und Zwiebeln waren auch mit am Spieß....Punkt!! Wenig überraschend kam das Dessert daher. Ausgerechnet zur Erdbeersaison ausgesprochen saure, wässrige Erdbeeren, nicht im Ansatz traditionell in eigenem Saft, geschweige denn Likör mariniert, an übersüßter Sahne-Vanillezucker-Sauce(?!?). Bei meiner Frau hingegen wieder Convinience-Dreierlei mit Sahne. Es sei noch erwähnt, dass zwischen den einzelnen Gängen im Schnitt 45 Minuten Wartezeit viel Raum für angeregte Konversation ließen-positiv wie negativ betrachtet. Hier wog schlussendlich leider lediglich das unsagbar charmante Ambiente (trotz mangelnder Sitzmöglichkeit an der Gracht, wie sie eine Mehrzahl der anliegenden Konkurrenten bieten) und das bemühte Personal die Handwerklichen...

Service wasn’t perfect but very friendly and nice even though it was a very busy night

Food: we ordered the 3 course New Year’s Eve menu for 45€ and it would not even have been worth half of the money.

Carpaccio was okay but tasted like it was prepared days ago and stored in the fridge. The truffle mayo tasted store bought.

The main course was a chicken skewer which was just plain chicken breast without any seasoning on a tortilla

Dessert: the grand finale wasn’t so grand and all and everything on the plate from the ice cream to the tiramisu tasted store bought.

Resume: we didn’t even eat 1/3 of our food - we’re left hungry afterwards and spent 120€.

Rather disappoint but as I said the location was nice and I would come back for drinks -...
