It's a cute little spot, but the food left something to be desired. My friends got the lunch platter and I got the pea spread bowl (sounds better in dutch). We also got kombucha, matcha and coffees. The kombucha (both rose and coffee flavours) were very good though on the small side portion wise. The matcha was too earthy for my taste.

The lunch platter looked boring to me, to be honest. I could whip up something similar out of my own fridge. My smashed pea spread was generally flavourless and required quite a lot of pepper to make it interesting enough to want to eat — even with capers and other stuff, it was super bland. The bread it came with was also soooo toasted it was basically a cracker. That's not my preference. I got the chocolate cake as well, and it was just OK.

That's kind of the general impression I had: just OK. Everything could have used just a bit more attention to flavour and spice. I eat vegetarian and vegan most of the time, and I know it doesn't have to be bland, so that's no excuse.

Service was also lackluster. We had to wait a long time to be served and didn't get things very quickly either. Maybe Lucas was just having a...

Finding high-quality sweet treats that are both gluten and lactose-free has proven difficult and scarce to find. I was excited to try both the chocolate and carrot cake - they were both exquisite. The chocolate slice in particular was moist and memorable and will be the one to bring about my return. I also ordered a chai latte which was genuinely spiced. The space is small but cozy and fairly quiet. There is a single desk/table that can be used by a customer that wishes to work with a laptop otherwise laptops are not allowed in the eatery. Sit quietly by the window with your thoughts while the intent staff...

op de vlucht vanuit Den Haag (echte ontsnapping!) Op zoek naar ontbijt (glutenvrij voor mijn vrouw) werden we hier goed en met liefde bediend. Op de achtergrond zorgde ‘Bob’ voor het muzikaal ontspannen geluid aan het begin van de dag, wat het zonnige begin van de dag nog aangenamer maakte.

• • • • / 5 voor het eten Echt heerlijk ontbijt en reageerde op het glutenprobleem van mijn vrouw met geschikt brood
• • • • / 5  voor de sfeer; liefdevolle inrichting met individueel karakter en charme. Comfortabele zitplaatsen en ook buitenzitplaatsen beschikbaar

Ik kom hier graag terug als ik weer op de hoek sta 👍

2024-07-18 "es klang nach Bob Marley" ... 👍🤩

auf der Flucht aus DenHaag (wirkliche Flucht !) auf der Suche nach einem Frühstück (Glutenfrei für meine Frau) wurden wir hier bestens und mit Liebe bedient. Im Hintergrund lieferte "Bob" den musikalisch entspannten Sound zum Tagesbeginn was den sonnigen Tagesbeginn einfach nur noch angenehmer werden ließ.
