We paid $65+ USD for two entrees, 1 margarita and 1 hot tea. The price was for the location and the food because it certainly was not for the service. On the Loof Google Business listing there is a link that reads "Reserve a table". I used that link to reserve a table for 1:15pm. On that link there is a place to put notes to the restaurant. My note said "We ALREADY looked at your menu and we both want the pasta with salmon. We have to be at DOM Under (right next door) at 2pm so please place our order as soon as we are seated." Loof was able to seat us early at 1pm. Great. But they still brought us entree menus as if we never left a reservation note. We both ordered the salmon with pasta. We also ordered 1 margarita and 1 hot tea. That order was placed by 1:05pm. The drinks were served before 1:10pm. The tables each have a visible number. By 1:30pm A) The food had not arrived. B) No one had come by the table to ask if more drinks were desired. Not long after 1:30pm the food was delivered- but not to table 32 where we were seated. The mix up qas quickly discovered and we got our food. It was DELICIOUS. I HIGHLY recommend the salmon and pasta. The fish and mushrooms and basil were SO fresh and the sauce was just luscious in the tongue. Everything was right about this dish. They were generous with the tequila on the margarita and the jasmine tea was some of the best I have had. But the waiter never informed us that no check is brought to the table. Instead patrons pay inside the restaurant by listing their table number. I honestly believe we were overcharged due to orders from a table other than 32 being charged to our table just like our food was not, at first, delivered to table 32. I thought this at the time and asked for a receipt. The receipt lists what you were charged but does not list what you ordered. Remember my note on the reservation? The one that was ignored? Due to how late the food came I did not have time request a detailed receipt from Loof to check the items assigned to our table. So we left for DOM Under not knowing if we were overcharged. Patronize this place, the food is worth it. Just order TO GO so you don't have to deal with their sub par service and you have documentation of what you ordered and what you were charged BEFORE you go pick yo your food. That is the only way I would recommend Loof. Kudos to the chef. Shame on the front of house staff.

The people next to us who arrived an hour later than we did received their main dishes 20 min before we did. Meanwhile totally ignoring the fact that my friend was sitting with totally empty glasses in front of him. 🙄 In instances like this when the service is so poor, you can offer complimentary drinks, free dessert, discount on the total bill or whatever. Or at least make sure the service improves after that, which it didn't. Another tip for the restaurant: add feta cheese to your Coban salad. The rest of the food we had was good!

We only had a couple of good beers between friends and the outside seating in the sun was great although when we went inside to pay, the guy at the cash register, insisted that we need to pay everything at once and not divide the bill between two people. he said that he had to pay extra For every transaction and wanted to avoid this. I kept on insisting that I wanted to pay half of the bill and after a lot of discussion, he finally agreed to it. I thought this was unnecessary hassle for such a small thing that is usually common for any other restaurant. It wasn’t that we wanted to divide the bill in 10 different payments but only two… anyway it was a great terrace and we enjoyed it apart from this little incident.

We only had a couple of good beers between friends and the outside seating in the sun was great although when we went inside to pay, the guy at the cash register, insisted that we need to pay everything at once and not divide the bill between two people. he said that he had to pay extra For every transaction and wanted to avoid this. I kept on insisting that I wanted to pay half of the bill and after a lot of discussion, he finally agreed to it. I thought this was unnecessary hassle for such a small thing that is usually common for any other restaurant. It wasn’t that we wanted to divide the bill in 10 different payments but only two… anyway it was a great terrace and we enjoyed it apart from this little incident.

We kwamen met een groep eten. Van tevoren hadden we gebeld over de glutenvrije opties en gevraagd of het personeel hiervan op de hoogte was. Dit zou allemaal geregeld zijn. We reserveren, komen aan bij het restaurant, en krijgen doodleuk te horen dat er een dubbele reservering is. Gevolg: we hebben met een groep van 11 man ruim een uur buiten gezeten.

Tijdens het wachten werd ons door de ober toegezegd dat we een vergoeding zouden krijgen voor het lange wachten. Spoiler: die hebben we nooit gekregen.

Alsof dat nog niet genoeg was, werd er buiten al op ons aangedrongen om direct een bestelling te plaatsen. Deze werd vervolgens verkeerd opgenomen. Ik bestelde persoonlijk een Ice Tea Green, kreeg gewone Ice Tea, en toen ik aangaf dat ik iets anders had gevraagd, kreeg ik van de ober te horen dat ik “Ice Tea” had gezegd. Meerdere mensen uit de groep bevestigden dat dit niet klopte.

Daarnaast werd er een los gerecht – fournituren – verkeerd opgenomen. In plaats van excuses te maken, werd er meteen gecontroleerd of wij het verkeerd hadden doorgegeven. Alsof het onze fout moest zijn.

Voordat we eindelijk naar binnen mochten, werd ons nog even duidelijk gemaakt dat we vooral stil moesten zijn, omdat er oudere mensen aanwezig waren. Met andere woorden: we hoorden volgens de ober blijkbaar niet tot de ‘doelgroep’ van het restaurant.

Eenmaal binnen bestelde ik een glas wijn, en wat bleek? Er zat nog een afdruk van de vorige klant op het glas. En ja, dit glas werd gewoon bij de bolling vastgepakt – door een ober. Toen de gerechten arriveerden, zat er kruiden over de friet zonder dat was gecheckt of deze glutenvrij waren. Ook de mayonaise was niet nagekeken, terwijl we dit expliciet vooraf hadden besproken. Begrijp me niet verkeerd: ik snap dat een glutenintolerantie niet makkelijk is, maar juist daarom hadden we van tevoren gebeld om dit te voorkomen.

De cocktails waren bovendien achterlijk sterk gemixt – balans was ver te zoeken. De borden werden ons letterlijk in de hand gedrukt, drankjes deden er 15 minuten over – de barman zat immers lekker op zijn telefoon. We werden gedurende het hele diner met scheve blikken aangekeken, alsof we er eigenlijk niet thuishoorden. En verwacht bij vlees vooral geen kartelmes – gewoon zelf maar een beetje snijden met wat je krijgt.

Het eten zelf was verder wél lekker, daar lag het niet aan. Maar de sfeer in deze tent was zo slecht dat ik serieus nog nooit eerder in een slechter restaurant...
