Lebowski — Restaurant in Utrecht

I visited this establishment around 1:30 AM with my wife to purchase a Pepsi, as it was the only place open at that hour. While the bartender inside was friendly and provided good service, our experience was ruined by an aggressive staff member outside.

After purchasing our Pepsi in a glass bottle and heading out, a staff member began shouting at us about taking glass outside. When I attempted to ask for clarification about whether this policy applied to sealed Pepsi bottles, he refused to let me speak and continued yelling aggressively. His behavior was extremely unprofessional and hostile, especially considering we were unaware of any such policy and had not been informed about it during our purchase.

His aggressive demeanour and unwillingness to communicate properly made us feel discriminated against as non-Dutch customers. This type of treatment is unacceptable for any business. Due to this experience, neither we nor our friends will return to this establishment. I would strongly caution other potential customers about the hostile treatment they might encounter here, particularly if they are tourists or...

Lebowski is a bit of an alternative but really central spot. I've come here often and have always enjoyed coming here for a drink, but lately I've realized this really really isn't the place to come for food.

Sure, the meals aren't extremely expensive, but they're just poorly put together. I had a sandwich with egg and avocado that was the most underwhelming lunch I've had at a restaurant in a long time. Today, I had the nachos, which were just super overpriced chips with a little bit of guaq and even a smaller amount of sour cream.

I recommend going here for drinks because the vibes are nice, the service is good and the milkshakes are super good, but I'd recommend finding another...

Very slow service. First, had to wait 20 min before we could make an order. A waiter just dropped the menu and left. Since then we were completely ignored by all waiters present. In the end someone finally came and looked like we really bothered them willing to make an order.

Second, we waited ~40 (!!!) minutes before the food arrived. We were going to leave at that point but then saw the food.

Also, the music was extremely loud indoors. And it was during lunch time. So, we could barely have any proper conversation.

Food was very average.

I guess it’s never good idea to eat near major tourist...
