BENNIES — Restaurant in Zwolle

Been wanting to try Bennies and finally went for lunch with a colleague. The atmosphere, while was crowdy due to lunch rush, was quite good and cozy. They got choices of sandwich with price ranging from 10EUR to around 17EUR, with the most expensive being steak sandwich. I was offered a "day- special sandwich" - a pastrami sandwich, to which I said yes, without asking for the price (stupid of me). The pastrami itself was good, though the bread was a bit cold, and there was not much else in it other than pickles and mustard sauce. Then I went to pay, and was charged 20EUR for that sandwich. Who would charge 20EUR for a cold plain sandwich? Considering their dinner menu for steak is 18EUR, that price is totally INSANE. A sandwich is more expensive than steak?! Cant help but...

It's a cool place we come there all the time the pizzas are fantastic as well as the pitas. The carrot dish is not good. They use honey with buckwheat which is disgusting. My wife didn't mind it. They also ignored our allergies, the fatteh contains cashews, when they were told, they said well you should tell us, but in fact....I did... They should list it on the menu. Other than that it's a great place to eat and drink. Beers are good as well as the Moscow mule cocktail. The waitress was a bit weird slash energetic, kind of jumpy, but nice. Oh and the sweet potato fries...

Zwolle is leaning hip, but Bennie’s tips the scale. 🌿 Brunch here feels like it belongs in Berlin or Brooklyn—playful, fresh, and just the right amount of cool.

The poached eggs with hollandaise were silky perfection, the greens fresh, and the lamb patty full of flavor. Add a glass of Fritz-Limo honeydew melon soda, and it’s brunch bliss. 🥂✨

Laid-back vibe, great food, and friendly service—Bennie’s is easily one of Zwolle’s best spots....
