MaMa's — Restaurant in Zwolle

LUNCH: I came here with a friend as we had heard lots of good things. The panini's we had were tasty indeed, but that's really where the good ends. I can't say that the panini was any more or less delicious than those of Piccolini - but it was more expensive. You are certainly paying for the overhead of having table service. The tables are right on top of each other so it is also incredibly loud inside. We opted for wines with our lunch and were extremely surprised with what poor quality they were! We tried two different varieties and both tasted as though they had been left open for days - flat and sour. For this reason alone I would not come back to try dinner. Best sandwiches in Zwolle (and beyond!) and also our favourite place to eat in Zwolle. The sandwiches are authentic, tasty, pretty large/filling and it’s very clear that only top quality ingredients are used. Focaccia is homemade and super delicious. Reminds me of incredible sandwiches I had in Lecce, Bologna, and other places in Italy. Nice place, good schiacciata bread style. They serve a schiacciata-like with multiple different options inside as filling. Theoretically a schiacciata should be a focaccia, they do it more bread like, but still good.

Waiters are not Italian, not sure about the owners as there are some language errors in the menu, but overall nice Italian food.
