I ordered a vegetarian bento bowl today via the kiosk for takeaway. Whilst waiting, I stood near the counter and observed the preparation process. To my shock, I noticed there was only one chopping board and one knife being used for all ingredients. The same knife that had just been used to cut chicken was immediately used to chop the vegetarian tempura for my order, without any change of board or knife.
For a restaurant that has recently expanded its menu to include a wide range of vegetarian options, this is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. Any establishment offering vegetarian dishes should understand the basic principle of avoiding cross-contamination with meat. Most people who specifically order vegetarian meals do so because they are particular about avoiding such mixing.
When I very politely raised this as feedback with the staff member serving me, I was met with rudeness and complete dismissal. She would not even allow me to finish my point, repeatedly saying that all items are fried in the same fryer so there is no point in asking for separate utensils. Not only is this an illogical response, it also shows a lack of respect towards customers’ dietary requirements and a poor attitude towards feedback.
It is unacceptable to promote vegetarian options whilst showing no regard for the basic etiquette of preparing them separately from meat. I left the restaurant feeling hurt, upset, and disrespected. I would strongly advise any vegetarians to avoid this place, as their practices and customer service clearly demonstrate that they do not take vegetarian...
Read moreYesterday I went there and ordered 4 items of vegetarian chicken sushi and rice dishes for my children who are vegetarian from birth. After having eaten through a few mouthful my youngest child said to us that this rice dish tasted weird. To our horror we found out that it was a real chicken rice dish. When we took it back to the store and told them , the store manager had a smile on her face , she didn’t seem it was any of a big deal. She didn’t offer to give refund until we asked for it. When we asked for the branch owner and head office number , she didn’t want to give to us , she took nearly 10 minutes to hand it out to us. Clearly we can see she doesn’t have any sense of guilt for what just happened to our daughter , who felt sick and wanted to throw up at that time. I will never go to this store or have any trust in st Pierre sushi ever again. This incident could have be worse if it was a nuts or other allergy items that could cause death or severe symptoms. The sad part is the manager incharge on that day doesn’t give a damn about the effect this incident had on our daughter. If I could give zero star for this branch I would. Because I truely don’t think that they even...
Read moreApr 21: Used to be a great quality sushi place. Unfortunately today it felt like the old stock (which meant to be fresh sea food) was sold to us. The Summer Salads smelled and tasted like it was quite a few days old, definitely not fresh. My little girl who usually loves Summer Salad refused to have any of it because it tasted funny. :( Had to organise another dinner for her and money wasted. My son's salmon and avocado sushi had a salmon bone in it. My sushi had a grey avocado throughout them. Hoping the standards will go back to high, otherwise we'll have to find another sushi joint after 15+ years of using this one 13 June 21: another bad experience, hence changed my rating to 2 stars. My prawn sushi was so sweet. Please stop putting sugar in your rice, it doesn't taste good and not healthy. i guess now is the time to find another sushi shop...
