I’ve been to Saigon Haven with my kids about four times now, and while the food has generally tasted nice, I’ve consistently noticed that the portions are very small for the price. It has often felt a bit expensive, especially for children’s meals. Today I picked up a takeaway kids’ meal for $15, and I was really surprised at how tiny the portion was. For context, the rice bowl alone costs $4, which means I essentially paid $11 for eight very small pieces of chicken — that’s more than $1 per piece. For the price, I expected a lot more substance. Unfortunately, it felt overpriced and quite disappointing. The service has always been very average — nothing bad, but also nothing particularly memorable. That’s why I’m a little confused when I see reviews praising “amazing service,” because in my experience it’s just been okay. I really hope the restaurant reviews its menu and pricing, because if things continue this way, I worry that customers may start looking elsewhere despite the good flavours.

Had the crispy pork noodle salad and egg coffee. Both were amazing! I was surprised coz the noodle salad portion was apparently quite big! It came with a spring roll too which is so delish - I should've bought some for take away. The salad was so tasty, my only input is that I wish it was served colder, as I come on a hot day. I took half home and put it in the fridge and it was even tastier 😂 The egg coffee, which was served cold, was amazing, sweet and refreshing. This is my first time trying such drink. I love that it doesn't smell egg-y but has that nice texture that kinda remind me of custard. The staff was so nice and service was quick. The toilet was also very clean. Will definitely come back.

We’ve been to this Vietnamese restaurant twice already, and both times have been fantastic. The food is fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. I tried spicy beef pho and my husband tried crispy pork belly on rice and he likes it .The pho is delicious and comforting, the second day I tried lemongrass pork belly on rice and the meat is so tender and well seasoned. Their portion size is good as well. The staff are warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is clean and cozy, making it a great spot for both quick lunches and relaxed dinners. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

Starters were great but mains were terrible. No flavour, meat was chewy and fatty. I chose the meal I ordered because it had veg on the side in the photo. When it arrived it was grated carrot so pretty disappointing. We spoke to two different people about it. The waitress told us she had ‘noticed a decline in quality in the last week’ but nobody else cared and conveniently couldn’t speak enough English to understand all of a sudden. No offer to take it off the bill either. A shame as we were hoping for a solid local we could frequent. Definitely won’t be going back and I don’t...
