What started of as an alternative to having McDonalds or KFC, ended up being the best one out of the 3.

Regarding the Taco Bell Lunn Ave restaurant (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): I live closer to the Botany store but wanted the best first experience so I went to the Lunn Ave, Mt. Wellington store based on the better google reviews. We were not disappointed. Every time we have been to Lunn Ave, we've had nothing but great service. The store gets a lot of customers but they seem to be able to keep on top of the huge influx of orders without too much of a long wait. Once you order (which you can do using their touch screen ordering machines or at the front desk with a staff member), you are given a little gadget with your order number on it. Once your order is ready, it will vibrate and the lights will begin flashing.

Downside: Sometimes the floors have litter (very minute) and the tables haven't been wiped down. However, this is because they get a lot of foot traffic in the store with all the staff focusing solely on getting through the orders which I prefer personally but some people will not find this acceptable. I don't care personally and I know by watching other customers when I'm waiting for my own order, that this is because they get some messy customers coming through their store so I haven't removed a star just because of this.

Regarding the menu itself (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): It took me a good handful of visits to figure out my favourite meal and what size to purchase so that I'm not overindulging but at the same time, having enough food to make me full. Unlike McDonalds, I was pleasantly surprised when 2 hours had gone by after eating at Taco Bell and I wasn't hungry again. A McDonald's mac attack would make me feel stuffed by the time I finish it then 2 hours later, Im hungry again. You dont get this with Taco Bell.

Favourite meal: My ultimate favourite is the regular sized Crunchwrap supreme combo (pictured). I love the Double Crunchwrap combo but I find that it's too big for me even though I'm a big eater. I can never finish the large fries or the drink. The fries are sprinkled with a very mild spicy seasoning and they taste great on their own. Personally, I like using their mild sauce to dip my fries in (which is free). The medium cup is the size of what I would consider to be a small cup if you were to purchase from McDonald's for instance. However, this isn't a huge problem for me considering I eat just outside the Taco Bell restaurant mostly, and drink refills are free.

Cost: This particular combo costs me NZ$13.90 so it's much cheaper than some of its competition - KFC, Burger King, Wendy's, McDonalds etc.

So, if anyone is looking to try Taco Bell here in Auckland, I can highly recommend The Lunn Ave Taco Bell Restaurant in...

First time trying taco bell in NZ after having some in the US, and the experience here was very different. I took off 1 star for each issue.

First, the food quality wasn't as good as in the US. The crunchwrap supreme had such a little amount of meat in it that we felt ripped off. The cheaper items (crunchy taco and beef cheesy burrito) had more total meat than the more expensive crunchwrap, at less than half of the price of a crunchwrap. The value of taco bell in the US is much better, and that's part of the appeal of the chain over there. This doesn't quite come across in NZ as you pay more than you would at a McDonald's or KFC.

Secondly, the machines at the counter were not working so everyone was told to use the self service ordering devices. We asked how we could use the coupons on the taco bell website on these devices, but we were told it was not possible. We drove in to the store specifically to use these coupons because they stated "available in store only", but we were unable to use them.

Third, the wait was too long for a fast food joint. We only ordered 2 combos + 2 extra small items, but we had to wait 15mins for our food. This doesn't sound very long but if you compare it to other fast food places this is a long wait. Especially since the food wasn't quite up to par after the wait.

Overall not a great experience and probably won't be back for a while. If you do decide to eat here, I would suggest you only order the beefy cheesy burrito and the...

I definitely enjoyed going to Taco Bell with my family last week. I was greeted by a big warm guy named Albert who instantly just made us all feel comfortable. He made every single item sound delicious and irresistible, I just wanted to try everything! We did have to wait a bit as people making the tacos werent in a hurry but the customer service was fabulous. I paid part payment, so I paid half cash and half on card and it took almost 10 minutes for the cashier to figure it out. The people cashiering take forever so it maybe best to order at the ordering screens instead, and the cashier was quiet the whole time so we spoke with Albert instead. We loved the food it was delicious, the salsa is a bit sour though next time I'll order without it, and the rice was delicious perfect. Loved the option of 4 seasoned meats that's fabulous. Maybe have a bigger seating area inside so that we dont have to squash one another. Other than that it was a lovely experience. See you soon guys!

P:S I just want to point out that the dining area isnt very clean but is anything really clean after eating...

If you're like me and don't particularly like standard fast food, then this might be a good option for you. Taco bell is just that much better. Yummy flavors, lots of options and refillable frozen and normal soft drinks. Personal favorite is the crunch wrap and the fries. Both more filling and real tasting than other fast food chains. I would eat here everyday if I could! Recently had a disappointing experience here. Seemed like there was only 2 staff working on a Sunday at lunchtime. They were battling to get the food made so there was 0 Service and 0 cleaning of the restaurant, it was a mess! Was a shame to see, but isn't a reflection on the two workers, more a reflection of the company not having enough staff.

Very disappointed!!! They use tobhave cinnamon twists. One of the core items on the taco bell franchise menu. Why bring it to nz if only to remove it because you the company no longer wants to import it from usa. You also don't have the original bean burrito on the menu... Sad.. Also overpriced. $16.50 for below... Standard fast food. And I made a mistake coming a 2nd time.. Absolutely disgusting. They must-have not chabged the pil as when they fried the cinnamon twists as it tasted like an oily metallic burnt taste. Had to throw away 2 sets in rubbish. This is the 2nd time in a year iv been to this Lunn avenue taco bell and it is nasty. So disappointed.. Never again will I go!!!
