Have a friend from NZ back home who was adamant that we tried Hell pizza when we visited NZ.
We ordered the double size (an American medium) gluten free crust on the gluttony pizza for $26. All of the specialty pizzas are based on the 7 deadly sins.
I could see the chef clean the pizza cutter with a paper towel rather than wash with soap and water but I didn't have a lot of other options as a Coeliac.
Pizza smelled like a Hawaiian pizza but I didn't actually see or taste any pineapple once opening the box. The toppings were pretty sparse for a pizza called "gluttony." The crust was thin, which is fine because it's gluten free. The lack of toppings would have Americans outraged if this place opened up shop over there. It wasn't bad, but it was mediocre for a pizza.
They also have dairy free cheese available at no extra charge. While the pizza is ok, it's not worth writing home about, let alone suggesting to others to eat.
I'm rounding up to 3 stars for being able to accommodate dairy free, vegetarians and even vegans on their menu, as well as having gluten free non pizza meals available.

Read moreWe’ve been here so many times and every time the pizza has been delicious. Normally we would order a Meat Lust pizza or a Cheese pizza. We love them both and order them all the time! They have the perfect amount of sauce, cheese and meat. Often, people don’t like crusts of a pizza, but here, you’re guaranteed to love it. It’s crispy at the crusts and doughy around the center. While you are waiting for your order, you can look at some interesting magazines and smell the delicious scents that wafts from the kitchen. Oh boy, the smells get your mouth watering! When you order a snack box, I’d recommend ordering hash sticks or Crumbed Camemberts. As soon as you bite into a Crumbed Camembert, the hot cheese runs out of the crumby, doughy outside. This place shouldn’t be hell, it’s more like...
Read moreWe have just made a $25.00 delivery order. Order arrived. Supplied $50.00 note as payment. Told by the deliverer that he only had $20.00 dollars (in one and two cent coins) for change. He suggested we take the coins and visit the store tomorrow to collect the rest of the change. After questioning this he rang his manager. Talked to the manager who confirmed we could collect our change at the store. Our suggestion that we come to the store and pay in full tomorrow was declined. We have sent the order back!! This is very, very poor service. When we specify on line that we are paying cash, change should be available. Hugely disappointing and unlikely to ever use this store again....
