I had not been here before Monday evening - although the rest of my family have been, can see why it's a tried & true fav.. After a slight wait(the man serving another couple before us) but we're pleasantly surprised when the dishes came barely 6-8mins later -as if to make up for the waiter serving us second. It was as the signage says 'tasty' as. I had decided on the Mongolian Beef but asked about noodles too and was nicely surprised when x2 dishes arrived and seconds after the glorious Mongolian beef arrived on a sizzling steak hotplate. It proved just as spectacular as it's delivery. The third coup de tat of the meal was fragrant as it was sumptuous I actually thought the server had bought the dish to the wrong table in error, then realising he had generously ordered the noodle dish that I had asked about, I loved the bean sprouts included in the rice & the noodles. All three dishes were delicious and I now have a new fast fav. Ten out of ten Tasty BBQ for Food. I loved the decor, coloured lights that look like Christmas ones around the periphery of the restaurant and the shop window is made up of larger than life sized photos of the whole menu, so you know what your order willl look like; covering the whole front window. There are x2 large family tables with those revolving table tops so feasting is easy with a group setting. There are booth like comfy seats and other seating x4 to a table. Our x3 dishes cost $62 & change. I asked her if takeaways cost the same which she affirmed. Obsessed with TBbq so much so that we'll visit later in week to try another x3 dishes. * I recommend Tast BBQ - take a group of x4 pr more so you can sit at the revolving tables it works out to be around $20pp. The beef noodles were just what I told our server I wanted them and sharing dishes takes the meal to another level. If you want to impress your date get the Mongolian beef. My mate opted for the Indonesian fried rice which made the triple combo a threepeat that I would takeaway. The service was excellent the noodles were exactly what I wanted , the beef tender & the rice a great addition. The green tea was good to warm the palate and I thought the servings were generous. So generous I took all x3 dishes home after. Make someone's day order: Mongolian beef, beef fried noodles & Indonesian fried rice. In the words of a certain Terminator, ...

Tasty BBQ Restaurant is our go-to spot when we are in the area when it comes to casual catch-ups with family and friends. We dropped by for a lunch get-together and ordered a bit of everything to share—classic chips, BBQ fried rice, combination fried rice noodles, steamed BBQ pork buns, and salt & pepper squid. For drinks, we had the creamy mango and creamy honeydew pearl drinks.
The meals were standard, nothing fancy or standout, but still satisfying enough to fill us up and keep the conversation flowing. The portion sizes were decent, and everything came out fresh and hot. The BBQ flavours were mild, and the pork buns were soft and enjoyable. The drinks were sweet and creamy, just as expected.
Overall, it’s a simple spot with familiar flavours, perfect for a relaxed dinner with loved ones. If you’re not looking for anything too adventurous but want a comfortable place to sit down, share some plates, and leave feeling full—this place...
Read moreWe usually eat at the well known Chinese resto at New North rd but decided to give Tasty Bbq restaurant a try. We were not disappointed at all. Asian lady taking orders was really super friendly and well groomed. Place was a little bit small but the ambiance is all good. The place was well lit and images of the food on the wall with prices really helps with what to order. Price is a bit higher if going to be compared to the bbq Chinese resto on the ther side but taste and quantity is well worth it. Serving was really fast. Only negative we can think of is the shrimp on the vermicelli we order was kinda hard removing the skin but the taste was on the spot. We will definitely come back. Oh, and they have a reward system, they give you a stamp for every $35 spent and will get a $20 off on...
