Qin Xiang Ge — Restaurant in Albert-Eden

I first visited this Cafe when my children are very small and I've been going there ever since my favourite is the cold noodles the taste is delicious little salty but very nice I often have a craving for this and I would drive halfway crosstown to try them they do a very nice chicken soup anyway the tastes delicious they do not have a real good command of English as it's always full of Chinese it's situated in the heart of Mt Albert shops when you go there there is the strong smell of fish from the fish market across from them but once you close the door that goes away don't let that put anybody off the food is constantly good I don't think many westerners know about this as I said I've been going here for...

I'm very (very) partial to Xi'an cuisine as it is my hometown cuisine and I used to come here all the time but they've been surpassed by so many other newer joints! Maybe I didn't order their signature dishes but the latest time I tried them they failed to match the competitors' offerings! Nice homely feed if you are nearby but the spicy beef noodles didn't taste spicy at all and the soup base was rather bland. The prices aren't really any cheaper than other places and they don't accept credit...
