Foodcraft — Local services in Albert-Eden

This was an amazing Auckland experience. Charlie knows his food, from the best street food to fine dining, and Charlie knows Auckland and its people. For any food tour, you want 2 things: great food and a great guide. Charlie sent us a mini-questionnaire and selected places based on our tastes and experiences. But what I really liked was that he did not allow his pre-determined plan to become inflexible. As we went through the tour, he made changes based on our conversations and certain dishes we liked. Our menu evolved and each step was fantastic. Such a cool journey. And Auckland is a beautiful multicultural city with so many cuisines to offer. Our particular journey included Afghan, Chinese, Māori, and Spanish-influenced food.

Finally, we can’t say enough about Charlie himself. A super helpful, friendly and genuine person. Just truly authentic. Food brings us together. We’ve found that as we travel, where time and money are limited, a good food tour can be a quick path to learn the pulse of a city. We’re taking home some excellent new memories thanks to the food and conversation we shared with Charlie. Thank you sir!

My family (a group of 4, two adults and two teenagers) had the pleasure of joining Charlie in Auckland 2022 to take part in his Foodcraft experience. Having traveled widely around the world, and never taking the time to write a review, I feel compelled to acknowledge this as the greatest food experience I have ever had. Tackling 22 different plates across a number of fine eateries was spectacular to say the least. For foodies like us, to be taken on a journey such as this was just incredible. The lengths that Charlie goes to in ensuring his clients are treated to the most memorable of nights is incredible. His attention to detail and planning are matched by the great company he is on the night. I have no hesitation in recommending Charlie's Foodcraft experience to anyone interested in having a monumental evening. I consider this a must when traveling to Auckland....

My wife and I consider ourselves discerning in food choice and have set high standards for a great food experience. Chuck did an amazing job on the tour for our 3-person group. We started working with him about 4 weeks before our arrival to hash out the interests and eating preferences. We got a curated tour that matched our specifications and was a most excellent afternoon of culinary satisfaction. He provided a great mix of places, including several that we would have likely never found without his seasoned experience. The next time I travel to Auckland, I will try and synch up for another Epicurean adventure. It was great value for money and the tour was one of the highlights of our trip. You will not go wrong...
