Shooters Saloon Bar & Hotel — Restaurant in Albert-Eden

Didn't realise it was more of an event centre was advised events on still I would have thought accommodation would have been away from the rukus not right beside a shared toilet for event and guests with the music blaring till 3am and loud drunk people. Felt trapped in room when got back from Eden Park stadium didn't know who to ask as to whether could go through venue outside for partner to have ciggie or to the bar, toilets were disgusting wen went out to use them basically until the poor cleaner got there and has to ask her what to do with the card we used to get in the gate n show to security. Room was combo lock. Felt like was sleeping in a night club. Can only guess what this place is usually used for unless u r attending an event there but as there were two events there I wouldn't expect to be getting any sleep till 3 in the morn. I dropped someone off here so this review is really about the vibe of the place. A young couple going to a 21st in the city but didnt want to pay hundreds. They just picked the cheapest place they found online. The bar was full with people having a great time at 730pm so do not stay here if you want to sleep..its perfect if you just want to pass out drunk somewhere safeish. I'm older and didnt stay hence the 2 stars although my daughter gave it a 3. She also said the owner was really nice and the doorman came out to show her where to check in because she felt a bit nervous with all the noise coming from the bar lol. Magnificent & a Grande time was had by myself, my husband, family & friends. Shayne was very acknowledgable with being hospitable insuring our event was enjoyable. Its was a fun filled 30th event, and the crowd who were having a 21st at the same time downstairs were friendly and good fun, as we came down & mingled together later in the night. The balcony deck was very spacious & the food platters were delicious. The fire abraisia, the mechanical bull, D.J mixing music, dancing & pole dancing was brilliant. Lots of seating & comfortable.
