Happy Vietnamese Bánh Mì and Phở — Local services in Albert-Eden

Delicious Vietnamese food, in a cute little hole in the wall cafe. It’s all my traditional favorites, that I’ve been hoping would appear close to home. We had the chicken pho, a delicious miracle in that they use actual chicken broth (not beef or pork), a chicken bánh mi, and the pork and prawn summer rolls. All three were drool-worthy.

The place is quite small, and they did the best with it, but it’s still small. The 3-person team is very welcoming and friendly, and cranks out fantastic food, faster than you’d expect. There was a short line for takeaway the entire time we were there.

I’ve tried the crispy pork, crispy chicken, traditional, and lemongrass beef – and honestly, each one was incredible. The balance of flavors, the freshness of the ingredients, and the perfect crusty baguette make these Banh Mi stand out. If there were 10,000 stars, I’d give them all! Mrs. Trang and her husband - Mr. Quang are truly inspiring. I've been ordering her dishes since she started her home-based business, and now she has her own little takeaway spot—such a testament to her hard work over the years. I'm thrilled to have been part of her journey and to witness her success.

The coffee is amazing, and the Vietnamese bánh mì is simply authentic. The flavors take me back to my childhood memories. I've tried many bánh mì in Auckland, and this is by far the best.
