The Coffee Club St Lukes — Restaurant in Albert-Eden

I cannot believe what happened today .Sunday afternoon 19th may 2019 .my friend and I took a friend who was over from Australia for a coffee and something to eat .we all ordered hot drinks plus a muffin a lemon and coconut slice and a bowl of chips .we had all neally finished our drinks when food came my friend started in her fries I also had a couple we had both used dipping sauce .nxt thing the fries were whipped out from under our noses while we were eating them at least 10mins after they were put on table saying it was wrong order taken away and the same fries as they were not hot but quarter the size put in little wire basket with tomatoe sauce and put in front of my friend. Well is that BAD PR or what .we were all speechless and will never go there again and considering I had a bad experience a few wks previously there I should learnt a lesson .but never again and they dont even deserve 1 star though my drink was not as ordered it was ok .and 2 of us are 70yrs old .discusting treatment. I don't normally do this but today I am giving a one star rating. Was not impressed by the service of one gentleman staff member. While dining in for lunch he approached asking if I would like another coffee. I had the impression I was being offered a free refill- he did not mention any charge. I am a regular customer and often pay 40-50 dollars at a time so I thought it must be a new loyalty tactic. I went back for lunch the next day to be told by the same staff member that I had not paid for the coffee yesterday, I replied that had I been told I would be charged I would not have accepted it. Not a nice experience.The same staff member later came by to collect my empty plate and never said a single word to me- no 'how was your meal today'- nothing. Simple open communication would have avoided this awkwardness entirely- it would have taken one second to have told me the extra coffee was at the standard charge. What can we say? Angie and I are back to I will favorite restaurant in a place we can relax – – the Coffe Cup on High Street, Auckland, New Zealand. As usual I ordered my favorite Egg Bebe Stack, which is decked with crispy hash browns, basil pesto and spinach. I wolfed it down in no time! My trophy wife ordered her favorite Epic Beef & bacon brioche burger. We really like The atmosphere displays offer, usually we will invite all friends and colleagues to join us at the Coffee Club on High Street. The Interior design and setting here is simply amazing. It’s like that the service here is above par and we always get great attention from the hostess Vivian and the staff. The food served here is yummy and hot.
