My partner and I tried to go here for dinner, but ended up leaving because of the rude service/lack of service.
The place was empty when we arrived. We walked up to the counter and waited. When no one came out, I picked up two of the menus to take back to the table. Then the owner (?) came out, didnāt say a single word, and held his hand out. I thought he wanted me to give him the menus back, so I tried that, but no. My partner thought he was trying to shake his hand, but not that either. Then we thought he was gesturing towards the table to take a seat, not that either. By this point he was huffing/sighing, but still had not said a single word. I asked if we could take the menus back to the table to see what we wanted to order, but he just stared at me. I was left wondering if I had unknowingly offended him. If I did, that was truly not my intention!
We took the menus back and once we sat down he started muttering to himself. Two men arrived while we were there and he came out promptly and took their order at the table. We decided on what we wanted and closed our menus and I smiled to try and show we were also ready to order. He walked really slowly down the middle of the tables and refused to make eye contact. I tried to say we were ready to order, but he physically turned his head away as he walked back past our table.
At this point we cut our losses and left. Iām still unsure what went wrong in our interaction? Especially as the two men that came in after us seemed to have their order taken reasonably smoothly.
When speaking to another couple who tried to go here, they said the owner completely ignored the woman when she tried to order and would only take the order from the manā¦

Waiter/server was dismissive when we asked to order, often walking in and out of the kitchen when we tried to order. Other customers dealt with the same frustration, two seperate parties had arguments with the man due to long wait times and his inattentiveness. Food took maybe 45-1 hour to come out. Also found two hunks of plastic in my food while biting into it. Kitchen staff and waiter addressed this by giving me a small bowl of potatoes and acted like it was fine. I get somethings happen sometimes with maybe a hair or plastic ending up in the food but the whole experience topped with this was quite a disaster really. I spoke to the kitchen and wait staff on the issues but they didnāt seem to take it onboard, blaming the plastic on the brand of lentils they have and had no comments about the strange service. When you ask a group of people about Venkys you will get mixed results. Very High risk type of place but when itās good its very good . Also easy on the wallet. Be prepared to roll the dice if you...

The chef are really good and ensure the food is prepared as per customer needs. the issue is the service and cleanliness; customer come to hotel coz they take time for family and want to enjoy a good meal and go back home happily. the other day me and my friend when to have dinner we placed order then next to us was a small family with kid who order some snacks there was hair or something in chutney they have had to return n they got a new one.. then they ordered meals and dosa for kid.. the dad had meal and found something not sure if it was stone or worm.. he stopped and angrily paid and walked out but the little girl wanted to finish her dosa as she was hungry n enjoying but i could see the pain and frustration on the face of dad. I have a kid and i dont like waiting for order and after long wait there is issue with food in term of cleanliness etc no one accepts.
we ahd same issue one time my wife found sikilar issue an she stopped going. so venkys owner please take business seriously and respect the customer as we invest time and money on food and expect good service and...
