Turkish Stars Kebab — Restaurant in Bay of Plenty

Very dissapointed with the mixed meat kebab I had. The meat was dry, the red cabbage and tabbouleh portions were tiny. I asked for all 3 dips being tzatziki, beetroot and hummus and I was told that I could only have hummus. I said that's not normally the case you get all 3, to which she said she would give me all 3. When I collected it and ate it there was the tiniest amount of beetroot dip and none of the others. At $15 I was extremely dissapointed with the dry meat, lack of salad and dips. A really disappointing experience. I shop here often and two lovely Turkish men normally serve me and everything is great. This time, three overseas workers were behind the counter and there was a huge language barrier. Firstly, they tried to overcharge me for a salad, and I had to point to the menu to prove they had the price wrong. Secondly, I asked for two sauces, and they only gave me one. We randomly stopped here for lunch one day and oh my god- I’ve had a lot of Turkish food before and this one was by far the best. The meat was so soft and tender, the portion size was amazing and the salads on the size were so refreshing. They weren’t skimpy with the sauces either which made the chicken on chips so enjoyable. Would highly recommend.
