Mrs M's — Restaurant in Canterbury

Travelling up north and decided to stop in Timaru for breakfast. We chose this because we loved the look of this place. Inside it smelt delicious and the cabinet food looked great. It was clean and toasty warm and we were greeted equally as warmly! Great menu to select from. Kids chose pancakes, we had smashed avocado and a poached egg on toast, and whitebait fritters. Everything was Delicious , perfectly cooked and beautiful presented. Big shout out to the Staff who went out of their way to be helpful when I left my handbag there....

Preferr eggs and bacon, with ciabatta toast, fantastic food, eggs were my kind of perfect with runny times and cooked whites. Mocchachino was lovely and just the right half strength I like. I ordered the eggs, bacon, and then the staff told me about the special that I hadn't seen and it saved me more money. Will done on that one as most places just let you order the expensive rate without telling you the specials. We were hunting pies in Timaru and popped in here. There were none displayed, but against my better judgement we asked. There was only mince and cheese, but we ordered anyway. Pies appeared to have been microwaved. Tasy enough but not crispy. Very expensive. They did appear made by hand though. Coffee was average.
