Burger King Carlton — Restaurant in Christchurch

Every few months or so I drag myself back to BK in the hope that last time was just a bad day for someone, or it was bad timing and I got product that was about to time out, (neither should be excuses but I'm just giving them the benefit of the doubt), but every time I'm disappointed. BK used to be somewhere you went when you fancied something a bit posher than maccas, and the prices reflect that, but whereas I can expect one meal in ten at maccas to be poor, it's been every time in the last couple of years at this BK. The onion rings were soggy with oil and undercooked, the tomato in the burger tasted like it had been defrosted, the lettuce tasted off and I had to remove it, the cheese was hanging out the side and mostly stuck to the paper and the whole thing was squashed like someone had sat on it, $18 well spent. At least the coke was okay I guess... It deserves no stars and only gets two because the youngsters there are always pleasant and seem to be trying their best, but I don't know if they've just given up or if it's always never really been good at all... I've probably only got myself to blame for keeping going back, but I think...

Very disappointed with my visit to Burger King just off bealey ave, I went there on Sunday night to get a feed for me and a friend, I ordered our usual & went through the drive thru, my order total was $39.30 as presented on the screen, we then went to pay for our order & it suddenly changed to $39.90, so I transferred the difference over & I scanned my card, I ended up scanning my card 3 times and by this time my food was already ready to go, I paid for my order & the drive thru worker started yelling saying he didn’t receive payment, even after scanning my card three times so at this point it is not my fault as I had more than enough money in my account. Not long after this they refused our service & shut the window in our face, very unprofessional behaviour and service...

Short version: Uncertainty of Hershey's Pie, Certainty of Basketball Arcade Fun

Long version ahead: The Arcade had a great basketball machine, so I guess it deserves at least 2 stars. But terrible service, it was just me and my pals but it was only after 10 minutes before anyone showed up at the cashier to take our order despite the staff being completely aware of us. They went about their own tasks and ignored us even though we asked if there was a cashier available to serve us.

After 10 minutes, we ordered a Hershey's Pie, which they keyed into the register only to find out that it is out of stock. We were asked to order something else from the dessert menu, we ordered a chocolate sundae which was also out of stock. Guess they are truly King of the Burgers and...
