Read a lot of good reviews about this place so a friend and I went to check it out. She had the Kedgeree (it wasn't a big portion but she enjoyed the flavours) and I had the Sisig. The Sisig dish looked large and we both got excited just looking at it. The marinade was highly flavourful! But what let it down was the shockingly small amount of meat and the large amount of POTATOES!!! Because everything was covered in the marinade, you couldn't tell which was the meat and which was potato. I kept thinking "oh that looks like a good piece of meat", so i'd spear it but sadly, it was just a marinade-slathered potato. It was very disappointing. And, although the service was quite pleasant, I don't plan to go there again. Having said that, the coffee was pretty good. If you plan to go, factor in some extra time to find a parking space on the street. Parking space is...

The service here is incredible, super friendly and attentive to detail. We arrived around 2pm and they had just closed the kitchen, but they said they would keep it open for us to order something which was so sweet. They even gave us some croissant cake for free at the end as they were closing!!
The food was also amazing, I got the Dakjuk and my dad got the noki benny with avocado, ricotta, and pickled cherry tomato. Both dishes were very interesting in the best way possible, absolutely delicious and not dishes that you would see in any other Christchurch cafes. My iced maple matcha was also great. I will definitely be back to try more off the menu!
Highly reccomend checking out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in Christchurch over the weekend and made it my goal to visit Noki for brunch. Iām so glad I did - the food was so delicious. So much so, I went there two days in a row to grab brunch while on my short trip. Highly recommend their eggs benny - the Chadeolbaegi Benny was sweet and savoury, tasted a bit like Korean bulgogi but breakfast version. On the other hand, the Charred Pork Belly Benny had some very nice Vietnamese flavours. I also think their unique Tom Yum hollandaise added a nice kick and flavour. I also highly recommend the Maple Matcha - honestly one of the best matchas iāve had in my life. Canāt wait to go back on my next trip to Christchurch to try out more of their food - like...
