Delicious Moroccan grilled meat beef, lamb, prawn,chicken or falafel, 3 couscous salads to choose from. Large generous plate! 😁 Only $21.50. Honestly one of the best surprises I've had in Christchurch so far. My 2nd time here and after a good Souvlaki last time, today the grilled meat couscous was not just good but really great, large sized, and delicious!

And very friendly staff! Warmly recommended. Given the price Vs quality : 5 stars no hesitation ✅

FYI:I mention it when a place is overpriced/tiny portions, when there's an obvious problem, e.g. I Recently reviewed a place I used to love in Queenstown that used to be great and now has increasing prices at the same time smaller and smaller plates size, therefore I gave it a negative review...

Unwelcoming Atmosphere and Confusing Service Experience

My recent visit to CASBAH left me feeling unwelcome and confused. Arriving around 9:20 PM, just before the supposed closing time of 9:30 PM, I was met with stares from the employees that made me uncomfortable. As I approached the counter, the tension was palpable. The lady behind the counter spoke to me in an aggressive tone, making it difficult to understand her inquiries. Despite their insistence that they were still open, the atmosphere and demeanor of the staff made it clear that my presence was not appreciated. When I attempted to place an order, the interaction only grew more uncomfortable, leading me to ultimately leave without making a purchase. This experience left me with a negative impression of the shop's customer service...

Fully agree with previous review “”think this has changed ownership since my last Souvalaki there. The lamb was full of fat, souvlaki not folded at bottom so all juices etc ran out immediately through the bag and it basically was just meat. Very little else except dreadful looking lettuce and some tomato and onion mixture. Would need to seriously improve for me to ever return. Very disappointing. Only one size and expensive for what you get😫””

Also added corn for some reason, how hard is it to proportional make a souvlakia meat salad sauce and wrapped with something that hold integrity and doesn’t fall apart and juice all over you lol . Bit of let...
