Cocopelli — Restaurant in Christchurch

I posted a review about a week ago and I just need to write another on my other account! We went back a few days later as we both loved this place so much the first time (for feedback purposes, this review relates to all of the staff working the night of Wed 8th Feb approx 7pm). This time it was very busy on a weeknight, we received great service not from one but FIVE employees we interacted with while we were there. Every single person who took part in serving us (from the lady who seated us, to the several waitresses who served us while we ordered and ate, to the lady who took my payment at the end of the meal) was incredible to deal with. Warm, friendly and inviting, pleasant and helpful, one waitress even suggested we order our dessert with our mains to make sure they didn't sell out of it since it was busy.

All staff looked happy to be there, which either means they are just great at putting a customer services face on, or it means they are treated well and have a great employer. We could not believe the standard of service we received while it was so busy, the food also came out in a reasonable time considering, and once again they asked how everything was once we had our food.

I cannot understand the negative comments about this place - they literally ask you if everything is ok while you eat, if you aren't enjoying it let them know and give them a chance to rectify it while you're there! This place is incredible.

I look forward to trying some of their other mains as I have only had pizzas so far, but the 3 we have tried have been awesome.

Again the fact you do daily specials and have an app & loyalty program is just the icing on the cake - you guys are doing everything right! This is definitely going to continue to be a weekly outing for us that we look forward to every...

I have finally given up on this food bar. Ordered a gluten free garlic bread and we were presented with what appeared to be 5 slices of seeded GF Loaf from the supermarket, toasted and slapped with some garlic butter. Then the roast potatoes that came with the pork belly had barely seen the grill to roast at all. I will give them 10 points for consistently under welming food and overcharging. Not to mention they failed to apply my birthday voucher discount. So we paid well over price for the average food EDIT: They failed to inform that only one voucher would be applied when i specifically asked at the checkout, and I love the lack of comment about the disappointing food, which cements the comment that it looked like a standard loaf. I wonder what punters would think if the equivalent was offered for NON GF loaf? imagine, here are 5 slices of toasted white bread with some garlic butter?.. instead the offering is a ciabatta loaf. The lack of caring from the kitchen on shopping around for decent GF bread is reflected in the food. poor wait staff having to...

Feel scammed!...utterly disappointed. I do not recommend ordering from the traditional pizza menu. Went here last week for dinner before our movie, ordered 2 small gourmet pizza and they were 5 star so couldn't wait to go back to get more food from there.....well That ended up being a very bad decision..ordered a $37 half n half fungi & mario takeaway...and could see the crust through the topping, there was literally only like 5 tiny shavings of mushroom on the fungi side and it was a 6 slice a side pizza!! It seemed like there was no base sauce on at all aswell, was bland with absolutely no flavour, the base was doughy that when they cut it, it didnt work...so i had to get a knife at home because we couldn't even tear the pieces apart...was the same for the other side the mario, i thought...hmmmm..is the restaurant going broke or something? Have they run out of toppings and trying to save $$...because i feel totally ripped off that a value $6 pizza from dominos or the supermarket had more topping, better base and...
