I recently had the pleasure of dining at Crispy Chicken in Riccarton, and I can confidently say it's a hidden gem for fried chicken lovers! From the moment I took my first bite, I was blown away by the perfect balance of crispy exterior and juicy, tender interior. A hidden gem in Riccarton run by a wholesome and loving couple. Personally, the chicken itself is amazing and probably one of the best I’ve experienced in CHCH, WLG, and AKL due to texture (crispy exterior, tender moist interior), taste, price, portion, cut of chicken (thighs only), variety of options. In addition, their menu offers interesting sides (including salad for a healthier alternative) and a recently introduced soft serve machine (with half-half / mixed flavour like the old school Maccas) providing that perfect ending to your chicken !

Highly recommend to try it out and support the couple as they have recently taken over from a previous owner and is certainly turning a new leaf for the store one crispy chicken...

Ordered Uber eats. We got the Korean spicy, teriyaki and creamy chicken. Chips were OK but no salt. Chicken was cooked nicely but Korean had almost no sauce and not 1 single sesame seed, teriyaki had almost no teriyaki flavour (not enough sauce) and the creamy chicken had lots of sauce in a pottle with pretty much 0 mushroom flavour and was almost like cornflour thickened water with a tiny amount of little mushroom pieces. Didn't dine so don't know about service...
