Fyffe on Riccarton — Hotel in Christchurch

We stayed here for one night. Staff is friendly and helpful. We requested for a ground floor unit and the staff provided one to us which was kind of them. The room was clean and tidy. The room size are small and a bit tight on space especially if you have a standard large suitcase. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The front room also has a small backyard with table and chairs to bask in morning sun. Kitchen was well equipped with the basics. It has no dishwasher which is not a problem for 1 night stay however if staying for more nights then it might be something negative for such travellers. There is also no washing machine and dryer in the room itself. I didn't check but I'm sure the premises have a central laundry facility.

The bathroom is spacious. Bath is a combination of spa and shower. The shampoo/body wash dispenser was a good choice by hotel management as it makes it easier to use rather than squeezing those small tubes or bottles provided more commonly.

The location is about 10 to 15 mins from the International Antarctica Centre or the Airport. There is a Westfield shopping mall nearby and few restaurants along the road.

Fyffe is a consistently very high standard on many fronts. Always welcomed warmly which sets the scene moving forward. Beds are a brilliant sleep. After a big day's work... coming back to settle for the night, do some more work, while preparing your own dining at your Christchurch home.. It's all right here... And you have a TV in the bedroom which is a bloke thing I think... :-) .. Maureen and Greg are simply awesome hosts that just keep on giving... way beyond the front desk smile that most moteliers seem to manage... Just love coming here... Travelling and stopping at sterile standard motels of varying cleanliness and fittings quality... Fyffe is a must-do for business travelers, and also a fantastic holiday stopover and stay place. I have stayed at the Fyffe on Riccarton Motor Lodge since Wednesday 1st November i leave on Tuesday 14 November,i have found Rod and his staff are too much they all looked after me when i come each year,he an his staff go out of there way,they are very helpful,its a very good place to stay if your on holiday etc,so people if you are looking for a place stay at the motor lodge,its an excellent place to stay accomadation is very tidy,they have very good cleaners,great to chat to they also look after you|I appreciate to what Rod and his family plus staff looked after us very well an my brother an i will be back,hopefully 2024 some time|So people i say again you or your family an friends looking for accommodation ring Rod on 0800 341 3274 he will do his best to help you all out hes a...
