Dubai Cafe - Coffee shop — Restaurant in Christchurch

Last week we had lunch there first time. There were few people there. We were warned that it will be around 15 minutes wait. My wife had a cup of the hot Matcha latte$9. It looks like the Japanese green tea. Her Kobedad Kebab has two skewers of Lamb minced kebab and served with naan bread$22.99. The Lamb minced kebab were juicy and tasty. My was the slow -cooked Lamb Qorma curry served with rice $22.99. The Lamb were tender and the curry sauce was delicious but not too spicy. We enjoyed our meals and 15 minutes wait definitely worth it. There are other dishes on the menu that we would like to try so definitely...

Had a really bad experience here with my family. We waited over an hour for a simple order of fried eggs and sausages, and even then, some of the food we ordered never came.

To make matters worse, the owner was busy entertaining friends instead of helping prepare the food or managing the situation. The café was clearly short-staffed, but there was no sense of urgency or care for the customers.

It was very disappointing, especially when dining out with family. Definitely not...

No breakfast / brunch menu but there are pastries & snacks on display by the counter. Quiet environment, great for meetings & there’s a corner for children to pay should mothers want to catch up for a morning coffee (no picture provided however). Lovely Arabian decor. Think it’s unique in Christchurch. Spotted shisha stands. Didn’t ask if it’s in the menu.

Great to see son of owner helping his dad out at the cafe. Honest family business...
