Will not be shopping here again. I am a frequent customer there and today - the cashier knocked my blueberries off the countertop while she scanning my other stuff. I told her it had fallen - she told me to pick it up. I did that - they were all over the floor , I put them back into the container and the customer behind me starting helping - I told her that i would not be paying for them and would get another one. She said that there is nothing wrong with them .. I replied that she had knocked them off - I didn't. She rudely told me that I have to pay for it , I said I would definitely not be doing that so she raised her voice and told me to put them back where they came from ! What ?? To sell to someone else ?? ! I ended up leaving the store - after telling her that I do not want her to ring up my purchases - I would not support a store that has...

This place is really quite overrated. Its "GOOD REPUTATION" is just a myth, to put it bluntly. Firstly, this shop is always overcrowded, dirty, noisy, poorly-ventilated and stuffy. Unless you are stick-thin, you will find it difficult to move in any of the aisles, which are narrow. & The shoppers are almost always pushing and shoving one another inside the shop.

Secondly, some of the staff are so rude and unhelpful that their attitude will ruin your whole day after a brief shopping trip on a Sunday morning.

Thirdly, the worst thing above all, they charge you 3% of extra service charge out of the sum total of your purchase if you wanna pay by Eftpos Card, unless you buy items that amount to more than NZD30. Alternatively you'll have to pay in cash. So annoying.

Dodgy staff trying to sell expired food as ok. Brought food here, it tasted funky. check the expiry date and it had expired almost a year ago! Took it back and the staff tried to 8ullshit me that it was a manufacturing date not a best before. I've since verified that the staff were lying and the food was indeed almost a year past expiry. As the sayting goes - "don't p1ss on my head and tell me its raining". I had heard the meat they sell is dodgy imported stuff, I would totally believe that. This place is dishonest and unethical.
