Recently dined here, drawn in by the great atmosphere and the allure of a discount through First Table. While the ambiance truly set the mood with its cozy lighting and modern decor, the food fell short of expectations. The flavors, unfortunately, lacked distinction—everything tasted similar, without any surprising or standout elements to elevate the dishes which was quite surprising due to the good reviews here.

The service was fine, but nothing particularly memorable or attentive. It was mid-tier at best, and minimal engagement from staff but that may be due to the night ending too.

Went here for dinner on Wednesday and possibly we went on a bad day based on the reviews. Feel 3.5 stars if an option would be more accurate. The mains were good but the sides were a big letdown. The stuffed boneless wings sounded great but were super dry and lacking any flavour. One of the sides appeared to be forgotten about and was for the birthday boy and another table that ordered after us appeared to get the item he ordered before he did and we only got when following up. The roti as well was a big letdown was expecting the more crispy pastry like roti but got the bready roti that was dry. LA Ruby is the place if you want to experience the indigenous taste of Thai food. All the flavours were so authentic and true to its roots. Their Satay gai (chicken served with homemade peanut sauce) is simply delicious. I recommend the Kaeng lenge(yellow curry). The subtle flavours of the pineapple and the bamboo shoots all blended so beautifully..it was sophisticated and comforting an are lots more to enjoy. The staff is amazing.
