Cafe Ten27 is a very pleasant, well appointed and situated establishment, frequented commonly, and understandably, by locals from the nearby Eastern and South Eastern locales surrounding Ferrymead.

Parking can be contentious in the immediate area during patron peak times; although, there is extended parking access adjacent, close by, but related to other businesses. I have parked in the latter without problems for up to 90 minutes at weekends around midday and later.

Personally, I do not enjoy closely patronised dining spaces, preferentially seeking to situate myself on the periphery using the externally-connected communal space.

Structurally, this cafe’ is organised around pre-made dishes - although there is a formal menu, displayed ready to eat with little preparation required.

There are various vegetarian and non-vegetarian options on the menu, so to speak. Given I am vegetarian, I can only speak to my experiences, although numerous, with that aspect of the menu.

Everything I have chosen to date has been flavourful, well textured, well presented, and most enjoyable. I have tried the de-cafe’ but, I prefer the green tea. The regular green tea is served in a wonderfully proportioned ceramic teapot – it was wonderful.

Overall, the clientele can sometimes lean towards heavy patronage on some, winter weekend days. Even so, service levels and staff attentiveness generally remains consistent and efficient. Of course, there are days when this varies, as with most establishments.

The Ten27 environment, for me, is calm, relaxing, and very personable. Shared, larger spaces are available with multiple tables for small and larger groups; although, I cannot offer specific advice as to this aspect of the dining experience.

Pricing varies from reasonable value to, what some may perceive as, expensive. However, comparison within the immediate locale suggests that Ten27 is in fact good value, by in large.

Do note, however, my limited experience and dietary preference. Food selections on the menu suggest creative, clever and well appointed hand-made creations, produced with expertise, professionalism and a love of good, quality wholesome food.

I always enjoy eating here. Usually, I sit and read for sometime post dining, enjoying the fresh air, harmonious and...

This used to be my local hang out until I moved from Redcliff's closer to town. I still swing in there on my way to the gym.

The staff are relaxed and friendly and know you by name if you are a regular. Their loyalty coffee card system on their computer is great, no card needed if you forget it, just give them your name.

The food is exceptional here! Their avocado smash with a poached egg is yummo and their daily specials. The slices are VERY concentrated and overly sweet. So go for a biscuit or cheesecake instead. On tap is a choice of still or sparkling water. The toilets are refreshingly clean and modern.

It can get really busy but it's a great vibe of friendly, locals. Great place to take your laptop to do some work and get out of the office. The outdoor couches and fire courtyard, is intimate and relaxed.

If you want to peruse some stunning homewares, furniture or gift ware, you can walk straight through to their store from their cafe. The owners a husband and wife team, are both very hospitable and lovely.

One of my fav's this cafe, and a short stroll to the estuary and there is a fab shoe store called WINK just steps away on the...

I am a regular customer particularly for the cheese scones.i arrived at 8.30am today to order an oat milk latte take out.The two staff male and female totally ignored me for at least 5 minutes. No acknowledgement of any description.Very rude.Whenthe male finally came over I asked for the coffee. He responded that there would be at least a 10 minute wait as they had just got an order for 20 take outs.I said could they just do mine then and I would be done and gone.No he said.Ilove this cafe and am not suggesting that I take priority BUT surely common sense should prevail and leave one person to continue with the order and keep other customers happy by firstly greeting them and secondly having a better system. The girl I think is relatively new and the guy has bn there a while but has stuffed up orders for me in the past too by not listening.Very disappointed as it wasted time for me and still no coffee!!Not sure if I will bother again. Then when I went to pay he just wandered off again as if I was nonexistent I had to call him back to sort the payment.good luck with sorting this .Good front of house is vital and those two were...

I used to come here often and loved coming here. As we moved out of local area I haven’t been back here for a while. It certainly gives you a fresh perspective. As a customer I was not acknowledged when I moved up to order my Avocado toast with bacon on gluten free bread. I told the person taking orders I was coeliac and asked her to let kitchen know. This was confirmed when a different person brought my food out and said they left off chick peas as not gf. Coffee arrived with a little short bread. A nice touch but I couldn’t have, being coeliac. I asked waitress to take biscuit away, but she said she couldn’t. Coffee was excellent. My food was Avocado toast, but it was utterly overwhelmed by hummus and way too much balsamic vinegar. Avocado flavor was completely lost. Bacon as an extra charge of $8 was 3 small slices. Underwhelming for a $40 spend for one persons breakfast. Left with an aftertaste of vinegar.

Situated in the new commercial complex of Ferrymead just before you reach the sea. Modern decor with some outsoor areas covered by awning. Service was great initially but went downhill when the taller waiter came on. Entreés were excellent, crunch crispy southern-style chicken bites and flat bread with cream cheese/ fresh vegetables. No garlic like the menu said though. For mains we had fish and chips and duck confit. The portion size for duck confit was on the petite side. Would be understandable in a Fremch fine dining restaurant but not very filling for a bistro cafe. Fish and chips were okay with some chips being mixed between crunchhy and soggy. Overall not so bad for a newish restaurant.
