McDonald's Sydenham — Restaurant in Christchurch

the last 3 times I have been here through drive thru they have messed up my order or been rude. first time they couldn't understand that I wanted a large chocolate sundae with caramel sauce added. took 5 minutes to finally explain, paid the extra only to get home and find there was no added caramel sauce (that i paid for). Second time I asked for extra pickle on my cheeseburger, got home and had no pickle and barely any sauce. Made for a very dry unappealing burger. Third time was this weekend when the lady ignored me in drive thru for around 3 minutes before shouting through the speaker at us, we asked for a large coke no sugar and was told they couldn't do that they only had normal frozen coke, asked if they had other fizzy drinks and was rudely told again they only had frozen normal coke. took 3 attempts of saying i dont want a frozen drink before the lady got that I was wanting normal fizzy (they did indeed have coke no sugar). she was then very rude the rest of my order time and then incredibly rude when I got to the window to pay. she demanded (rudely) to know what bank I was with (I was unaware BNZ was down) and was rudely told they wouldn't be serving me because my bank was down... I cant understand why I wasn't told before I ordered? the lady was super rude at the window and was unwilling to even let me try (again I didn't know my bank was down and I thought to be honest she was just being mean). Maccas Sydenham is really a great macca to dine in with families, friends, dating, having meetings in one of the mc cafes area, they have a secluded outside area too right when you get inside the entrance which is quite and good for dine in with nice music going on.

Coffee is superb, the muffin breakfast menu is a really must try. The burgers are just irresistible too, and a lot more promotions and new items add on like the $5 mcbites and McSpicy chicken and other gourmet.

The playland area is quite handy for parents with children.

Toilet is well maintained and the Staff even busy are neat and clean.

Drive thru area can be hectic but the Staff tries their best though a bit smiles can sometimes lift up the customers mood and repeat service but it must be hard to work at a fastfood industry.

Overall it is a great McDonald’s that is really trying it’s best to preserved the McDonald’s product and service....
