Was excited to see this little coffee shop pop up on my Instagram recently from a friend sharing it. Briefly worked within the same team as Issy a while ago and always heard wonderful things about her so was excited to see that she opened her own spot ☺️

Lovely coffee and service! And as someone who quietly enjoys a coffee shop that not only makes fabulous coffee but also looks stunning — I have to say they’ve done an amazing job with the space they’re working with. It’s not large but it feels open and spacious with lovely thoughtful touches, simple stylish branding and a welcoming feel.

Being a daily matcha drinker myself for many years, I was excited to try Issys’ matcha due to the good reviews. The iced strawberry matcha tasted really weird, no matcha flavour at all even though I tried the matcha layer before fully mixing with the strawberry jam. It just tasted so unmatcha-like, stay away if you’re a matcha lover.

The iced brown sugar and cinnamon latte was also another huge let down. Honestly would rather get Starbucks than this, so that’s saying a lot!
