Khu khu is an upmarket vegan restaurant in Milford. Arriving at the venue, we were greeted and seated immediately. The venue is spacious, with limited seating it is cozy yet feels big. The bar area is clean and sleek, and the cocktails and mocktails prepared look basic and pack a punch of amazing flovours. The restaurant is simple with flair. I ordered the duck drunken noodles. The drunken noodles came out looking vibrant with color from the vegetable garnishes. There wasn't a lot of vegan duck in the dish. I had to move food around to find duck. The duck had meat like texture looked down and tasted like the dressing used in the noodles dish. It tasted good the fresh flavors from the spices and sauces used. The vegetables were cut to to consume. The dish was served hot because i was hungry i couldn't stop myself when it was place infront of me I honed in burning the roof of my mouth. The servings are reasonable. Khu khu do provide take away containers if needed. I also ordered a mocktail they used zero percent gin. With The alcohol removed from the gin, it gave the mocktails a more fruity flavor. Khu khu does fill up. would reccomend you reserve a table lf you want to...

Our new favourite restaurant. Great ambiance and very well set out. The food was exceptional, with every mouthful being a delight. We started with The rice paper rolls, which were very fresh and clean- with the most amazing peanut carrot sauce. We also had the Kumara spring rolls which were incredible. From the Street Menu, we had the highly recommended Yum Gai Zap, which was mindblowing. My wife and I stared at each other while eating this dish, with the look of OMG in our eyes- So Good!!!! From the Curry Menu we had the Ducking Good Curry with a side order of Mixed Purple Rice. We had all our dishes medium hot, which was perfect- spicy, but not eye watering hot. Typically, we would not choose a vegetarian restaurant, but on the recommendation of some friends and our love of South East Asian Cuisine- we gave Khu Khu a try. Probably, one of the best decisions we have ever made. I believe, even the most ardent meat eater would walk out of this restaurant, having not missed eating meat at all. We can’t wait to go back to try all the other dishes on the menu. Highly recommended to the...

Consistently impresses with its beautifully presented meals. Each dish arrives looking like a work of art! Beyond the aesthetics, the food also comes out remarkably quickly. The servers are consistently attentive, friendly, and seem genuinely happy to be there, creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere. I've visited on numerous occasions and it's proven to be a fantastic spot whether you're with family or a group of friends. The ambiance is comfortable and inviting for all. While the vegetarian meals are undeniably delicious, they do lean towards the steeper side in terms of price, and the portion sizes are somewhat small. However, this is where dining with a group truly shines. Sharing the various dishes is a great way to experience a bit of everything. It's a great choice, especially when enjoyed with a group willing to share and explore the...

As soon as you walk in, the lovely aroma entices you. Like the DIY gin & tonic, I tried the Doris plum from Tauranga with rhubarb & mandarin tonic water and lemon garnish as they ran out of orange garnish Kumara spring rolls were tasty but subtle Kumara. The eggplant sweet chili dish was wonderful as was the soy protein based beef massaman curry. I couldn’t tell it wasnt real beef but my OH could with the texture. We also tried the mango coconut cheesecake - it had an interesting texture and flavour. We are flexitarians and enjoyed the vegan dishes overall. Thanks for a nice experience! We have to try the ā€œchickenā€ curry next time
