Not a great experience. Upon arrival, I was told that there is a 30 minute wait for food, and had to repeat my order several times as the server kept shifting their attention to something else. Not ideal when you come out for dinner. I assume that this is because they're doing online orders at the same time.
This was listed as one of the best burgers in Hamilton but I can say right now that it is not. The majority of the ingredients are store bought so it doesn't really give you that going out to eat feeling.
The burgers felt more akin to something you'd get at the local fish and chip shop, the burger I got wasn't bad, it just wasn't great either.
The "OMG" Loaded fries portion was pretty small compared to other places in the area offering similar dishes, the bacon was burnt which meant the overall taste was just a burnt taste.
Not really what id expect for the prices being charged.
It kind of feels like the business is struggling with the transition from food truck to restaurant and so everything is served on kmart trays and brown paper, which can be difficult to navigate with the burgers that are prone to falling apart. I can see how this would be acceptable if ordering from a foodtruck but I went to a sit down restaurant not a food truck so..
I wasn't going to bother leaving a review but after seeing some of the replies from the owner if I had to do it again, id just walk another 10 minutes up the road and to Eat Burger.
Hopefully the owner takes this constrictive criticism for what it is and doesn't take it personally or get hurt, this was just my experience upon visiting...
Read moreWent there this evening for dinner. When we first went in there were no people inside, but there were 2 sitting outside. The lady that was at the counter hardly listened to our order and could not bring herself to smile. The first thing she said was that there ia a half hour wait, kind of felt like she was trying to make us give up. We ordered and went for a 25 minute walk. When we came back, the food arrived and the lady offered us water, even though we paid for colas. The place was hot and tiny flies were on the trays and the food. I think the most disappointing thing was that I paid 5 dollars for onion rings that I buy at the supermarket and the burger bun was so much bigger than the mushroom in it (veggie option). All and all the atmosphere was not the best.
After getting your reply I must respect you with an answer: listening means that when someone is speaking to you, you don't turn around to speak with others and make them repeat themselves. You can very well see a smile behind the mask. A real smile goes up to your eyes. The onion rings pay for themselves. It was more about being served a product that you can make at home at an eatery. When one goes out to eat they want something special, I can be disappointed without you being hurt. About the drinks, you may offer water to all, but you didn't seem to remember our order, simply because the cans were not served with the meal.. and when we said we paid for drinks you said ohh okay. I'm not here to argue, just to...
Read moreI bought the $16.50 Philly Cheesesteak. Took then over 40 mins to make it, so I was expecting it to be good and fairly big, since it was one one the more expensive dishes on the menu. The sandwich didn't even have any cheese. and it was pretty small for the $16.50 I paid. It was roughly about 5 inches long and 3.5 inches thick, at least 2/3 of the sandwich being a burnt bread roll. I was with some friends, and we were the ones to order first, out of the three groups of people that were there at the time. My friend, who ordered the 'Chicken Tenders' (as it says on the menu) and a side of chips got his food after the two couples who ordered after us. Moreover, the 'Chicken Tenders' turned out to be just one depressing and soggy chicken tender. The chicken literally slipped out of its skin. On top of that, the workers got the orders wrong and service at the restaurant itself was very slow. One lady ordered food to go. They got her order wrong, thinking she was eating in and was given a free side of chips to compensate for the wait. My friend that got the tender and chips who waited a long time, however did not get the same treatment. Highly advise others to stay away, unless changes are made to the service, the menu, portions of the dishes and the cooking quality. Its as if the employees have never worked with customers...
