Pappadomz — Restaurant in Hamilton

He guys i am Arun Rarichan, just writing this review from my whole heart , it was a long time dream for us to visit the fine dining South Indian restaurant in New Zealand especially focusing on Kerala cuisine. A perfect chicken 65 (balanced flavours accompanied by salad and ginger garlic sauce (Puliyinchi style sauce)perfectly balanced Kerala porota perfectly balanced with sugar and salt Beef peralan -served with white rice and a porota (a sequence of ground spices blended together with beef and gravy served on a banana leaf ,after six hours of driving back frohamilyon it still tastes the same ) Fish polichathu -an awesome art of fusing sourness in the onion tomato base with fenugreek and mustard (can’t find an extra flavour of either off the item used , Well done 🙏)

Biriyani- ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ succulent chicken thighs flavoured with ground spices punch the jeera rice with a mild flavoured biriyani gravy ,watch the photos you see with this tells us

Location shared with busy restaurants in the street , ( but if you are looking or the quality and reliable food park it anywhere you see the first parking space nearby , it is worth for it )

Staffs -⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙏 Pricing- the quantity beats it with quality food , if you are thinking about overpriced (well portions of starters and mains ) 🥂-wide selection of beverages to meet your requirements with standard pricing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍(a double cognac will go very best with beef and biriyani)

After hearing so many good reviews, I was excited to dine in pappadomz. But, it turned out to be a below average experience. Things I liked about pappadomz was the hospitality provided by the staff, ambience of the restaurant and presentation of the food. However, the taste of the the food was not up to our expectation. Our orders were

1. chicken 65 Presentation was outstanding, but needed some more salt. The sauce came with chicken 65 was yummy 😍
2. chicken lollipop Presentation was good, an usual Chinese style sauce mixed lollipop. Taste was okay 3 & 4) Masala Dosa and Ghee Roast. Both tastes very bad, Batter tastes sour and the side dishes such as sambar and chutney were 😪👎horrible.
3. Parotta and Beef Roast (peralan) Parotta was soft and crispy 😍loved it but beef is no where near to the real taste of kerala beef roast.

Things we don't like were, No proper car park and taste of the Food.

Finally my 37 weeks pregnant wife was very unhappy about the taste of masala dosa and Ghee roast. I chose pappadomz becuse she was craving for masala dosa and ghee roast for very long time.

For us it's the first and last visit to that resturant. Felt that it's over rated and it is no where near to the real taste of kerala food. Anyways, each person's taste and perception differs. So, others might like the taste. Just sharing our...

Ambiance was nice👍🏻 and that attract us to pay a visit but as per ambiance food was way too low 😞, we waited for around 25 minute for our order! ordered Masala dosa and i never had a soggy sour taste dosa before and Sambhar bowl was way too small, i mean look at the size of dosa and comparatively sambhar bowl. Other thing we ordered was chicken biryani and again i never saw anyone use little rice for that, am sure it's usually basmati or long grain rice but that dish was sweet not exactly sure why? Ordered tropical juice as well but didn't expected it to be pink colour and again 80% of the glass was just froth and 20% juice. Also we're eating and talking and in the middle of it waiter comes and start clearing side dishes, it was so awkward and after picking up our plate he ask are you guys done? I mean do they even have any hospitality experience at all? worse place for hospitality award goes to this place. i don't...
