Chefs quality of food perfect thank you Setting very nice Customer service poor. One of the lady behind the bar obnoxious rude unhelpful and beligerently wouldn't give any assistance for ordering or prices.. The lighting was low so I needed assistance with the menu. Her mannerisms would make anyone walk out and go somewhere else. whilist the other customer service lady had a lovely demeanour and she wore a light green top and was friendlier. Being a Monday evening it was quiet and at the time I was the only patron. I was placed at a table with previous customer order, left on the table. she removed those for me to sit down. But didn't return to wipe down the table so I just manouvered around it, but by this time I had become increasingly annoyed by the other female staff. And when that happens everything becomes under scrutiny that usually wouldn't have mattered. I had already ordered a meal so thought I'd stick it out to see how the food tasted and luckily the food outweighed the customer service experience. This place seems idyllic and a place to create good memories it's just unfortunate that one employee can take what is suppose to be a good dining experience and make it into a disappointment. I'm one for, treat me like that and I'll reflect the attitude shown to me back at you but I won't do it with political correctness I'll do what normal humans do. Express vocabulary. If I could rate a zero on my entire experience here I would. I went out to Mexico with my Mum for some lunch as this was my favourite place to eat when I was in Auckland. There was only our table and a table of three who ordered after us. Our server lost track of our order and never put it in the till and told us about it 45 min later but was whispering so quietly neither of us could understand what happened to our meal. During that 45 min he wasn’t doing anything but sitting on his phone the chef made food 10min ago and dinged the bell yet no one has ran the food when they weren’t busy tables were also left uncleared from previous services. Another server came up-to us trying to take our order as he believed we hadn’t ordered yet because his other colleague never input our meal in the till when we attempted to explain that we had ordered he walked away before we could explain the situation and find out where our food was, we should have just left when they told us they hadn’t added our order we gave them a secound chance and completely regretted that decision immediately after making it, extremely poor customer service would definitely never come back. People like this should not be running a restaurant if they don’t care people come for good vibes and good food either put some love into your work or don’t...

Super disappointed by this place. The prices are very bloated for the amount of food you get. I have no qualms paying premium for premium food, but this is very much just middle of the road, 'Mexican' street food style chow. Nothing fancy. The flavours are relatively bland. The vegetarian options are pretty lack lustre as well. Also, was most surprised by my request for 'queso' to be met with a brusk 'it's not gonna happen. We don't do that here. No'?? Pretty impolite. Queso is bog standard for most Mexican eateries. The cherry on top/low-light of the night was, despite it being 9pm (closing at 11.30), we were sitting down the back in the restaurant, and one of the waitresses decided to diligently work around every table with a candle around us and blow them all out?????!!! Then proceeded to get up on the seating/benches and get into the cleaning?!?! INCREDIBLY rude. Why bother coming somewhere to eat when you've got people aggressively cleaning around you almost two hours before closing? Anyway, the servings were SO meagre that we ended up going to Sals across the road after for pizza (which is always killer).
