Markyle's Coffee and Food — Restaurant in Hamilton

Excellent customer service and superb coffee. Visited the cafe this afternoon with friends for a meeting and we would like to give a special shout out to the team members working today. We were welcomed nicely with genuine smiles and greetings. Love the energy and store vibe; they really gave full attention to each of us. What I personally love about the team today was the fact that they're supposed to close at 2pm, which we missed to check when we entered the cafe (store hours posted at the entrance) but the staff were so polite and never showed any impatience when we were still finishing our discussions. The consistency of giving a welcoming environment and genuine customer service from the moment we walked in till we left the place make this cafe a " must experience destination" in Hamilton. We had a very pleasant brunch at Markyle’s Cafe this morning in one of their comfy both seats. We had one of the Deluxe Hot Chocolate’s which was loaded with marshmallows and had a Sante chocolate bar to dunk and stir with. Yum! We also had an apple juice which was super cold and refreshing and then two hot and foamy flat whites. The pancakes were large and fluffy with a beautiful caramelised banana, and the cooked breakfasts had all that you’d expect with perfect poached eggs and a lovely homemade tomato relish that went well with everything. Markyles is always a good bet for great food, elevated by the friendly and personal service.

The food isn't haute cuisine, but it's really up there and reliably good for a cafe meal across the board, from the menu items to the cabinet sweets. There are good healthy and uncommon options (like, surprisingly for NZ, lamb burgers), and their coffee is probably my favourite in Hamilton - for context, I like my latte mild and not too hot - I'd like to say at the right strength and temperature ;p, not so hot or strong as to melt my teeth like some do - I guess you could ask for it that way, but I find it's just right for me as it comes standard.
