Town & Country Food — Restaurant in Hamilton

Was in Hamilton with family for a holiday and looking for a quick morning breakfast and walked into this bakery. Absolutely disappointed at the service provided by the female staff. Ordered toasted sandwich and asked for ham, bacon and egg fillings, had to repeat to the staff 3 times because she purposely left out bacon when reading back order and we later found out why.

Ordered sausage and it was so hard on the outside and it must have been left from yesterday.

Ordered bacon and egg pie and there was NO bacon in it. The meat used was diced Chinese NEW diced Chinese BBQ pork and rest assured it was left over from days ago as it was absolutely disgusting.

Toasted sandwiches arrived with only ham and egg fillings, we asked what happened to the bacon. The staff told us we could only choose ham OR bacon not both and she said she had repeated order to us. Nowhere did it say on the menu to say that we could only choose 2 fillings and staff did not tell us when we were paying as she had purposely left out bacon when reading back the order and we had to correct her multiple times.

Anyway at this stage we walked out of the bakery feeling utterly disappointed. We've had a great holiday so far and was ruined by not only the staff and the food!

If we could rate it 0 star we would. 0 star for staff friendliness and 0 for food qualify.

great spot for a feed if you're like me and don't like sitting at some classy Cafe eating a tiny portion of food with fancy garnishes. this place serves hearty meals like steak, burgers, fish n chips, roast meals, bacon and eggs, some Chinese style dishes like noodles, soups, and also has good fried chicken and bakery food like pies and pastries. if there's a group of you this is perfect because such a huge variety means there is something for everyone. while the premises and food isn't first class, neither am I. I just want a good meal for a reasonable price, and I find it here. legit...

The service is way too poor, the so called bouncer is power tripping ( Jenny Craig's u idiot) You can't even complain to the manager because they will make up a lie and won't deal with the issue. If you want fresh chicken n chips... choose a different store. The chips will b fresh maybe but as for the chicken.... they will grab it from the cabinet where it has been sitting for far too long. This is how people get sick... how that store is still open, is beyond me. Must have an idiot who has no clue about health n safety keeping an eye...
