What a fantastic place for both hotpot and barbecue grill buffet!

I went here when they were still in Mt Roskill and am thrilled that they moved to North Shore as it’s much nearer to us.

They have a good selection of meats and seafood for the hotpot. A great array of appetizers (Northern China cuisine) and a dedicated dessert bar with all you can drink sodas and juices. I love that they also have mung bean soup and coconut sago soup as dessert.

Most of the buffet places that I’ve been to that offers free soda, won’t allow you to take the soda bottles with you to your table so you will have to continuously get up to refill. Not here, they provide massive bottles of soda and juices and they’re more than happy to let you take the drink bottles back to your table.

Meat is fresh, veggies are aplenty and I love their fresh mussels.

Service is good and I’m impressed with the thoughtful gestures of having free diapers and sanitary pads in the toilet for those who might get caught up in those situations.

Parking is ample, you can park right in front of the store.

Ambience wise: they have a huge screen for Karaoke sing along and the place is busy, but not crowded.

Taste wise: I love the hotpot more than the barbecue, as I’ve gotten used to the marinated meats of a Korean barbecue and to be honest, the hotpot itself more than made up for the entire experience.

Really bad experience, I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was not fresh, and the staff, including the owner, seemed more interested in playing with their phones than attending to customers. When the meat finished they were not intent to replenish it. Additionally, the ingredients for the hotpot had a foul odor, indicating they were not properly stored.

The most concerning issue was the poorly designed hotpot setup. The BBQ grill was placed right next to the hotpot, and the plates for grilling had no drainage system, causing oil to spill over continuously. Today, I got burned by the hot oil while dining, and my thigh was injured by the scalding hotpot. The owner provided no first aid or emergency measures.

I strongly advise against visiting this place, especially if you have children or a large group. It's not worth risking food...
