Running Grid Browns Bay 方格大战 — Attraction in Hibiscus and Bays

We've come across Running Grid from a friend in Auckland and always wanted to try it out. But luckily now it opened a new store in Hamilton and we don't have to travel all the way up to experience it. It was something different to us as it is very different from traditional gym exercises or work outs and you can actually immerse yourself during the game without realizing it. We tried out both rooms, the grid one and the hide and seek one, the grid one was very intuitive and fun to play. Although the game theme for the Hide and Seek one was a little bit different, the system would broadcast an instruction before the game starts and so we got the grasp of how the game should go very quickly with only a few attempts. While the Running Grid has potential, its execution falls short due to several issues:

Overly Sensitive Squares: The grid triggers even when your foot is a foot above, forcing awkward high knees to avoid accidental triggers.

Repetitive Levels: Game modes repeat the same Levels multiple times with slight difficulty changes, making progression tedious. With a weird difficulty curve.

Lack of Variety: Many game modes and levels seem too similar, reducing excitement.

Limited Starting Points: Some levels only allow two starting positions, even with more players selected.

I don't normally leave reviews but can't not with this place. A great way to get exercise while having fun. The team are so friendly and quick to respond to any queries, both through text and email. We've been going since they opened in Browns Bay and it's great to see the types of games growing while still providing the 'floor is lava' style game at all three sites.
