Speakers Corner Ale House — Restaurant in Hibiscus and Bays

4 of us Brits went here for the first time after hearing some good things about it, went there for a roast (didn't even come with yorkshire puddings?) so decided to go for the fish and chips, which never arrived, and to top it off the overall the service was absolutely diabolical. 4 of us ordered our food, the waitresses came over 3 times after we had originally ordered to say that a food choice was out of stock, which already annoyed us as surely you should know this and not have to come over every time we order something new. So we finally have our order locked in, we finally think we are getting the food, my girlfriends steak pie arrived, however the other 3 meals didn't show up? Waited and waited and waited, eventually I asked the waitress where the rest of our food was and she went to check and then said the kitchen has not even started cooking the other meals, there was somehow a mix up with the order. By this time I had asked to speak to the manager (Sandy) who took ages to arrive. Her service was just as disgraceful as the rest of her staff. Sandy was rude and obnoxious and didn't even apologise once, at the end I even said to her you didn't even apologise and all she did was argue back. If I was the owner I would be sacking all of the staff in there and replacing them. Completely ruined our Sunday evening and never would I step foot...

Tables and menus were filthy and staff refused to clean as they had “been too busy”. When I asked for a cloth to clean things myself I was refused as it “is not my place”. After table finally cleaned, a dirty menu and filthy cardboard coasters were put on the table. Another unhelpful denial and argument from staff about being too busy to clean was forthcoming. I walked away, only to be abused by the manager 5 minutes later as I had “made her waitress cry”. I asked her if she was serious and she replied “yes, I stand by my waitress and not the customer “. I can not believe the attitude of the staff and management of this establishment. They chose to open in Red Level so they should be abiding by a certain level of hygiene that is appropriate with that level or don’t open until Orange or Green. What’s an even bigger shame is Colm knows the owner and I think he would be horrified to know how things are being operated when he is not here. I went here this afternoon with my friends keen on a nice day out in the sun. When we arrived we asked to order a cocktail (everyone was 21 years of age and over) but we were refused. When we asked why, the lady at the bar said her manager doesn't feel like making it but soon after made a cocktail for some older ladies which we found discriminating to our age. We went on and ordered a pizza, when we got the pizza it had absolutely no flavor, when I brought this to the managers attention she never once asked if we would like a new one or said sorry. Instead she continued to argue with me saying she is right and i am wrong. "don't you know what a pizza is suppose to taste like" she said to me, her options to me were to either take it or get it thrown out. When I advised her I want a refund she continued to argue with me and say "You're not getting a refund, you can take it or throw it out" I never in my life had such a bad experience eating...
