Gong cha (Botany Town Centre) — Restaurant in Howick

I am baffled by how arrogant these staff were. I walked in and was the only customer in store. Young gentleman at the register took his time waiting to take my order, chatting with the staff on the side. Well, after some time, he finally asked me what I would like, and there was a misunderstanding. I was ordering a milk tea, and since he was too busy, yapping with the other staff barely heard me and started saying I couldn't order that. I was extremely confused, and he called over his colleague. I told her that I wanted a milk tea, and that's when they realized what I had wanted, perhaps if you paid attention to the customer instead of leaning back and chatting to your colleagues you would do a better job. While I was waiting for my drink, I heard some staff at the back of the counter, which I couldn't see behind, messing around, talking about how a staff member was vaping in their face, the exact words I heard "You literally just vaped in my face". I am a senior citizen with lung issues, and this flabbergasted me, one reason to vape in your workplace, especially while a customer is present, not knowing if they have medical problems. Keep in mind they were being silly and laughing the whole time. I got my drink around 5 minutes later, and the drink was fine. Nothing off with that. I turned around and left the worst experience of my life. Other Gong Cha locations are okay, but this one is absolutely baffling. Never coming here again, and you shouldn't either.

I want to complain about the pearl milk tea I bought at your Botany shop tonight (15/07/2021). At 7 pm, we ordered pearl milk tea with double pearl which was hardly found anything wrong inside. We were shopping at Botany Centre and after I finished the milk tea and there was some pearl left. I found there was a cockroach inside and I was shocked!!! We got back to Gongcha at around 8:30pm and tried to talk to the salesperson. She told us that she had no idea how to deal with this situation and told us there is no policies for any refund or compensation. She said the only she could do is to offer free drinks for us.I feel so bad and cannot stop vomiting after I found that cockroach. I came here a few times and ordered the same drink. Looking at some of the past reviews, I did not expect any services as this is really a place to buy a drink and go... hit and run.

I always ordered the White Pearl and Ai-Yu Special (寒天爱玉) and sadly they always ran out of white pearl. But today, they have all the necessary ingredients and for the first time I had the Ai-Yu Special as it suppose to be. And the drink is so refreshing and delicious. In my opinion, 30% sugar and a little ice is the perfect combination.

On this day, I was served byva young lady, Jamie and she is really pleasant, friendly and attentive. She makes my day. So I am giving a 5 star ratings hoping that the standard for this place remains despite of some bad...
