Metro Bar Pakuranga — Restaurant in Howick

There's an attached Korean buffet BBQ to the main bar that is truly a scam. We went as a large hroup of 16 and it is $50 a person so we spend about $800. We ate probably $50 worth of food before leaving because the food was very bad. They did not provide oil with the cooked meat so it got sticky very quickly. The food had no flavour and the best tasting thing were the frozen foods which is saying ALOT. It was an awful experience and a waste of money. The fried rice had no aroma nor did any of the food, it Ll tasted 2 weeks old, bland, dry and an utter embarrassment to be honest. We were the only customers in the hour that we were there and I understand why. It was awful beyond belief and I felt robbed after the experience. The service was poor, smiles are free, and we didn't get any of those. As we were seated, it felt like we weren't welcome. We ordered our dinner at 6.55pm, we didnt get it till 7.45pm, I had to walk up to the chef to ask where our meals were, he saw my table, and told the waiter he had delivered our meals to the wrong table, so he took the meals off the wrong table and put it on ours. We ordered a pizza, and crumbed snapper fish, the cranbery chicken and camembert pizza. Pizza base was tough, the fish was overcooked, and dry. The food wasnt good. This restaurant looks great on the inside and the outside, its a fantastic place, but the service and the food needs lots of TLC. ..... This place needs Gordan Ramsay to turn it around.. This restaurant used to be great but has really gone downhill. We were pretty much asked for our orders within a few minutes of being seated, but after ordering it took close to an hour for the food to arrive. When it finally did arrive it was mostly undercooked and what wasn’t undercooked was over done. The staff weren’t very friendly or helpful and were just making excuses rather than even a simple apology for bad service and badly cooked food.
