Bayleaf and Beyond Indian Restaurant (formerly Foreshore Ti Rakau) — Restaurant in Howick

We came to Bayleaf as a group of 4 (4 adults and a 6 year old) for dinner on Sunday evening.

When we arrived we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The menu has a lot of option all very enticing and enough to get the taste buds ready. It ranges from meat, seafood, veggie and kids options and a variety of Indian and Indo Chinese options.

2 of our group were vegan and they were more then accommodating with our dietary requirements, we went with aloo gobi and a veg saagwala which were so tasty, I only wish we could get the recipe. The also ordered butter chicken, vegetable biryani and a prawn malabari and it was safe to say there were no leftovers.

Not only was the food great but the service was great aswell, nothing was too much to ask and all of our questions were answered right away or if the answer was unknown, the question was quickly asked to the chef and the answer was delivered right away.

Absolutely lovely people! My car had some issue and not able to drive for pick up order. I called 10 mins before they close and the staff were really friendly and help me make order, organise delivery staff etc. She even told me the arrival time by phone because by the time food arrive the shop will close. I told her happy to pay extra delivery fee because it's after hour and she said don't worry, thats totally fine. Their staff arrived exactly on time and super friendly even that's after his work hour.

We ordered from Foreshore, circa a little over 2 weeks ago. Upon eating our chicken lollipop I discovered the meat was raw. Instead of posting a public review straight away, I contacted the restaurant about it to handle it privately, as we are frequent customers.

Due to me getting mucked around via emails, I've decided to share my experience publicly now so everyone is aware.
